PPC vs IPSC vs IDPA

Not at IDPA Club matches unless the club want to lose their affiliation. Side matches yes but not IDPA by rule and not for score.

( We shoot .22lr only in the winter months but they are not IDPA matches.)

Bob, I think what both hedgehog and cbabes mean is that you can shoot 1,2 & 3 gun matches with IDPA rules as we have done several times this past summer, lots of fun,

Storm, when are we doing this, I am ready anytime you guys are, lets set something up, I will come down and put on an SO course.

Who is this WE..........do you have a hamster in your pocket or something?

I am not currently doing IDPA at EESA. I have been helping Onagoth with his efforts.............but Hmmm with him being seemingly Anti IPSC perhaps I should reconsider!! LOL>

I propose the title of this thread be changed from "PPC vs IPSC vs IDPA" to..."PPC, IPSC and IDPA" :)

Match was the wrong word Bob. Just a club level shoot/pratice.

funny in the Newest idpa magazine there is a picture of a guy with a shotgun doing some work.

Yeah your right, forget I offered, me and my hamster will stay up this way.

You sit on the IDPA Canada National Council and try to promote this sport brilliantly. Don't let some chip shouldered big head get to you! I met him at the Napanee shotgun match. His bark is bigger than his bite.

I saw a rifle being used as a prop gun from the Nationals. After the Nationals their were Rifle and Shotgun side matches put on by sponsors. Lots of IDPA clubs sponsor 3 gun matches using IDPA rules for the pistol portion. I do know some thought has been given to setting out rules IDPA 3 Gun Matches. Time will tell.

Rifles and Shotguns are not to be used in scoring IDPA matches by rule as the sport is for handguns only.

Ah I am just kidding, what ever help they need, I am willing to assist with, both Storm and Onagoth know that. But sorry Storm, I am not bringing the hamster.

Bob, hedgehog knows this, he already corrected his words, he is a very active IDPA shooter here with me and is also a very active SO and one of only 3 IDPA shooters in this area that has done the Classifier as an SO. He knows the rules very well.

I am the reverse........I am an IPSC shooter and have shot some *DPA in the past. Now some guys want to start shooting IDPA at my club (using the IPSC Sections props I might add) so I might just try it out as well seeing as I have so much blood (copious amounts) sweat and tears invested in the props.

Of course, you would be more than welcome, open invitation anytime.

That is in fact the hope with this crew.

Sadly others that wanted to start IDPA in the past as well as SASS felt that there was no need for them to make any props at all as IPSC had made sufficient for EVERYBODY! They then proceeded to blast the hell out of everything and gave up the ghost when asked to help rebuild it.

Well I can't speak for others, I'm sure you know my time is available anytime the club needs it.

That's fine, but I like the 3-gun we shoot down south...
'Round counts in the hundreds :)

No doubt, can't imagine what its like Southern US, but BWSA and some pretty sweet shooting. 2nd last match I shot there I burned through 300 rounds of pistol alone (someone brought their Uzi :D)

Not anti-IPSC, just anti-IPSC Policy, wishing it was easier to come out and try just one match to see if I like it.

Don't think your help has gone unnoticed either, its greatly appreciated. Bringing IDPA to EESA has been much easier having you around :)

Didn't Storm win that match? :yingyang:

Your help is much appreciated as well. The list of interested individuals in and around EESA is growing....I think, like IPSC, EESA can become a real IDPA stronghold as well. s**t, we're approached 600 members, we've certainly got the people for it.

Ah you share a love of Gerbils with Richard Gere?

All kidding aside I think that there is room for both IDPA and IPSC at EESA. It will be even better when we have built our new indoor ranges.....

You are more than welcome to come out to a club level match..........just not the level 1s.

No BB required at all.

This I did not know....I thought BB was required for all IPSC matches. In that case I will have to give it a try, maybe see what all the fuss is about :)

Well a club level match is not considered "ipsc" in the true sense. We operate by IPSC rules but it is actually more of a practice session. We shoot for fun not score. It allows us to set up some pretty simple stages etc.

Are they shot on certain days of the month, I checked the EESA calendar but couldn't find anything.
