2010 Coyote pictures(post yours)

Call in this one yesterday morning. Used my .270 with a 110gr hornaday Vmax bullet. Shot was about 50 yards. No exit wound! One less hungry mouth in my hunting area!

We all work with the public, not everyone is OK with killing .WE like to have our anonymity, the ones that know us know what we do,the ones that don't know what we do don't have to.
It is strictly for business purposes.
We are all proud hunters but money comes first in our books. You will not see me in a super market with a rifle, reality is money is first.

Mike these are all the group we hunt with coyotes they are not all mine wish they were.
We shoot about half with the shot guns and the rest with rifles.
The small one was at about 250 yards the big one was at about 150 yards, but they could be as far as 500 or more.I would guess the rifle shots average about 200 yards, and the shot gun average about 35 yards.year after year the average is about 1/2 and 1/2 between rifle and shot gun.

yote at 748 yards

Hello, dropped this yote at 748 yards yesterday with my Tikka 3 7mm rem mag, pure luck though, I could not get a range on him with my Bushnell 1500 arc rangefinder, but I have shot coyotes near there when there wasn't any snow ( bushes and rocks ) so I had an idea of the distance, but not exactly and at that distance even 10 yards off would be a miss, anyways, dropped him on the 2nd shot, he spun around then ran about 50 yards and dropped, when I hiked up there ( you can see the trail where I dragged him back in the pic ) , I ranged back to the truck to get my reading, like I said, pure luck there.

Thanks, didn't damage the pelt too bad, just over an inch exit hole, I used a Sierra 175 gr bullet cause I had just ran out of the 162 grain amax's that I usually use for yotes, the 162 amax's usually do more damage to the pelt, but it does a good job of knocking them down at long ranges. I took this pelt down to the one of our neighbors, she's planning on making a coat, apparently she's made them before.

Beautiful countryside and good shot! Out of curiosity, whats pelt damage like with 7mm RM?

I just noticed something, see the blood in the snow ( bottom picture ) near the bottom of the picture ( just left of the dried brush ), thats from me, the leupold nailed me between the eyes with the recoil, you can see the gash just beside my left eye in the top picture, thats about the 6th time now, I'm sure I have a permanent scar there now :) . I just get so excited evey time I shoot at a yote I allways foget to pay attention to the recoil, and I also shoot a 243 with much less recoil so its easy to forget.

hahaha nice! great shot and nice battle wound. Thats funny I see the blood now and the cut, I've been very close to getting it from my 300winmag, so used to shooting my .223 and 17hmr that I forget about the recoil LOL

looks like beautiful country as well!
