2010 PGW Defence Technologies Inc. Manitoba F Class Rifle Championship

Hi Guys,

Is there are still spaces available? Is so what is process of registering I am totally new guy but seems like fun to be in and learn

Thanks

There are still spots open for this and you can email the match director (Les D aka prairieguy) but I know he is pretty busy right now down east with the G20...

Send him a match entry form (post #2 on the first page of this thread...) and a cheque via snail mail (and save a few bucks) or you could just show up and pay the day of the match for an extra $50 too...

I would think that just showing up on the day of the match without having made arrangements ahead of time would run the very real risk of not having an available spot to shoot. Even if the match isn't full, I expect that the Match Director will only hire staff on the basis of paid up entries.

I strongly discourage anyone to wait until match day and show up as a walk on. If you want to shoot, book now and get your name on the competitor's list.

I hate to turn any one away so I may allow a walk up shooter to participate, however they will not get the full experience. Walk ons will be at the match director's discretion. If things are busy and the walk on cannot be accommodated with minimal effort, they are not going to shoot.

Everything is preplanned and scheduled and some things cannot be altered at the last minute to accommodate walk ons.

A walk up competitor is probably not going to receive a shirt (maybe later in the mail if available from the supplier) or be able to join in the catered lunches. Both of those have been booked and ordered in advance.

Heads-up on the Super 8 ... it became a Motel One as of June 01 ... I'm off to the Holiday Inn (put some beer on Terry's tab ... again!).

I'd like to welcome on board another match sponsor.

Peter Dobson of Hirsch Precision and Sightron scopes have donated a Sightron SIII SS 6x24x50 LD rifle scope with mildot reticle and a set of SII WP7x50 porro prism waterproof binoculars.

3 more sleeps and we leave!!!!

Woo Hoo!!! Now if only I could persuade Fripp to buy hearing aids, the trip might be a bit more pleasant. :)

4 more days for us, hope the weather cooperates... no flights today due to heavy fog.
I'm no stranger to last place as well in any sport, hope to win just at least one of the prizes.

I have one huge favour- 2 brothers from our group need ammo, preferably match ammo. He call the 2 Winnipeg stores to no avail on quantity. Would any of you have an idea where/how they could get .308 ammo? Thanks in advance.

How ammo much are we talking?

There is a business called Range Sports Unlimited in Kamloops BC - he sells 308 match ammo. If you can make arrangements with him to purchase it, i can bring it to the shoot. Likewise, the Powderkeg Shooters Supply in Kamloops, or the Wholesale Sports in Kamloops.

My email is in my sig line. If this helps, I'll bring it with.

Ian.
