Shooting a Magpie

I knew where the bullet was going beyond the target......into the ground.

:owned:
f:P:
that's not all of what goes into shooting at an animal

you rushed it and took a bad shot

stomping it was the quickest method of killing it if his gun was unloaded. he could have loaded another round to make you guys happy, but that would have resulted in the bird suffering longer.
that's not even the problem, the shot should never have been taken in the first place

C'mon here fellas, cut the guy some slack. I'm sure all of us has had a lapse in judgement or a shot that was less than ideal. It happens. No-one's accidentally shot a gopher in the guts and had it sneak down the hole? No one likes it to happen, but it does. Fact of life. I have yet to meet someone who's shot is perfect every time under every given condition.

Instead of flaming the OP, why not some constructive critisism? All he needs is practice and next time I'd bet the shot will be bang on target.

After all, we are all firearms owners and should stick together.

Thank you.

Anyone here own a fly swatter or step on spiders? I know I kill everyone I find in my space, they even sell aerosol cans of poison to kill these creatures of god in mass. Any of you guys fish? What do you do with the squas/suckers? Everyone I know kills them too, toss them on the shore to feed something else. This guy had a poorly placed hit, bad shooting mabey or perhaps the bird moved, they do sometimes move before we can react and cancel the shot. The only thing he did wrong is tell you about it, post it where antis can read it. Sometimes I read peoples reactions on here and wonder if they are anti's posing as shooters. Howcome you guys don't cry out and protest at the organized golpher shoots? No ones eating them, oooh or maby some people just look for reasons to b@@ch at others. Jeeze, it's not like he captured it live and lit it on fire or filmed it flopping while groping his privates. He ended it's pain in the quickest way possible, mabey it's just the stomp putting people off, I think it was smarter than re-loading and shooting at the ground 2 feet away.

then dont post crap about stomping on a animal...real simple

every time you type something you just make yourself look even more like a 2nd class azz hat...That you have already proven...so maybe junior rather then trying to fight a losing battle its time to crawl in the corner, lick your wounds and post something good next time??

No wounds here.

Not sure what you are getting at, but there seems to be much aggression, hate and anger in your posts. I'm starting to think that you are possibly a candidate whom should not own any firearms. If I were you I'd be careful as you may have your firearms taken away. I recommend that you judge yourself accordingly.

I wont quote the last comment incase someone is smart enough to remove it.

I am pretty sure that threats are not tolerated on CGN. The above sounds like a threat.
kev big deal about the magpie, who cares. But you gotta stand down and maybe PM an apology where deserved so you can stay on CGN

Cheers

I am not in the slightest bit bragging. I just told the story how it happened.

Neither do you appear in the slightest interested in how the majority of your fellow CGN members are responding about your posts here.

Just slow down a bit, relax, and think about what they are saying to you.

Ted

get off of your high horse.

i wasnt judging the morality of him taking a shot at a magpie, i was evaluating the method that he used to dispatct the suffering bird after the shot was taken.

.You are starting out with simple agression towards a animal. Its like the kid trying to kill a frog on the sidewalk...who went from one method to the next, personal aggression and attacks. So the first method didnt work so lets try more agression...more physical and boasting about it on the net. so now other ppl on the net have warned you about it but yet you boast.

Hmmm do you have a narcissitic family or tendency? Oh and thank you for saying I was a candidate...where did that come from or are you trying to impress some one?? You made a bad shot...now admit it...and quit trying to justify it to every one...specially yourself...

I agree we need to be constructive... have a look at his response to my advice... very poor form.

are there some rules on posts like this?

something like:
gophers/crows/yotes=cool to blast and brag about
magpies(aka kittens of the sky)= not cool

just want to be sure on the next post like this, I know what side of the fence to be on.

i would also recommend to you that you have a psych test done. You are starting out with simple agression towards a animal. are you for real?! there are worse posts on this thread alone that you let by unanswered, but give the OP a scathing reply.

X2 I have a personal vendetta against squirrels and starlings. If you stab a 22LR HP in the nose with a tiny Phillips (star) screwdriver they make a real nice mess of a small vermin target, they also don't ricochet nearly as much since the bullet obliterates its self.

in fact., the OP even questioned this guy on his motives^^^

a lot of riding around on high horses by guys who kill animals for the sport of it.
