I have cut back to a flat a week. That reminds me I should go to another meeting soon.

Best bang for your buck has to be the O/U Yildiz Shotguns. Ive hunted for pheasant hard these past 2 years with mine and have had zero issues. The wood on it is better then guns costing 3x the amount spent. Comes with 5 chokes which are handy when one hunts early and late season birds. Clay at Prophet River has a nice selction and reccomend them over Baikel, Stoger, Mossberg and any other gun in the $700 range.
But we are not talking about you and I, are we?
I nthink that most shooters shoot far less in a life time than you or I do in a year.

The OP bought a Beretta. How many rounds have you shot through the Yildiz? Do you have any pic's?
here's the original post , budget was mentioned, and a field gun.Can anybody recommend a decent Over Under in a 12 Gauge? Want something that has a nice wood stock. A plain receiver in stainless/nickel/chrome type finishes would be nice as well.
Lastly Im on a budget so nothing to fancy. Want to use it only as a field gun for hunting.
Any recommendations? many thanks for any help.![]()
Myself, I prefer a SXS CZ to O/U Brownings or Berretas, having had more than a few of each in various different models.....
Then again, your tastes are a little different.Who else has the patience to shoot a round of skeet with a muzzle loader?![]()
Yep, that was the original post and he/she changed his/her mind as a result of research done. The OP decided to pay more for a quality name brand gun. Having had more than a few Brownings and Berettas myself I think the OP made a good choice based on quality. Fit? That is another matter.
Point taken! Then again, your tastes are a little different.Who else has the patience to shoot a round of skeet with a muzzle loader?![]()

Patience? Hats off to his squad mates

Were you reading those in the Huglo forum or on the general shotgun forum?I read awhole lot on several forums including a ton of posts on Shotgunworld. I realize that most people who have a gun that works dont post and say its great and only mostly people with problem guns make post on the internet. That being said there was a huge amount of criticism of CZ or Huglo O/U shotguns.
I have had several CZ guns from rifles to handguns so I am not against the brand. But the amount of negative posts I read about Redhead and Mallard really put me off.

The reason I am asking is that there are several gunsmiths and shooters on the Huglo forum that have many thousands of rounds through the CZ guns, and although there have been in the past some problems, they are basically gone now.
However, that's a moot point now, and I'm sure you'll love your new gun!
I have lots of shotguns, and although Ii have some favourites, the Italians are in the front running for the most part.....

It's way ahead of China (but who isn't?), ahead of Brazil, tied or perhaps marginally ahead of Russia and way behind behind everyone else.Italy and Germany make the best U/O's. England makes the best SxS's. I am not sure where Turkey fits in?
