Left with a sore shoulder after only 30ish rds.

Not to come across as a d!ck but the unit you show will do little to act as a muzzle brake. The exit port is WAAAAYYYY too big (at least how it looks in the pic). What you have is a fancy ported flash hider.
Statement: Mysticplayer knows what he's talking about. Check his site, read his bio.
If a .223 has too much recoil for you it's time for Airsoft.
Ive noticed it kicks allot harder then any .223 has the right to. That being said it doesn't bother me enough to look into investing time to soften it up, To each his own though, I do however hate the twang sound it makes between shots but my friends Dlask is just as bad so oh well. So the gas port on the norks is a little much and this is what causes the upped kick? I just installed a YHM low pro gas block with a rock river arms gas tube and it seems the kick got a little more intense, it is functioning flawless right now and thats what i really enjoy![]()
I don't doubt that, you won't find me questioning why he cuts a barrel a certain way or to a certain length. Likewise if he built a 1/4MOA .223 heavy-barrel and I made a crass statement like "all you have their is an overweight poodle-shooter" I would expect him to take exception with my statement as well. Don't worry, my bio is some good reading too.
EDIT: No, I didn't work as PR at Robarms either and I don't find your subtle reference amusing. Look at MP's statement and ask why I'd take offense at it. He made a pretty broad negative statement about something he has never seen or tried. I have no issue with him personally, but his statement was uncalled for.
I would also like to see the recoil sled that you used for testing your brakes.
You have taken offense to my statement which was not my intent.

I've found the best way to make the recoil of an AR15 more manageable is to remove ones tampon.
