That's a stretch.
You mean to say that's friggen hilarious
martinbns, step away from the crack pipe

That's a stretch.

You should look up the word "credibility".
You don't get credibility from anyone, ever. You create it for yourself by making credible arguments and giving sound advice. You destroy it by making silly, incredible statements and giving ridiculous advice - and maybe by not even knowing what the word means.
Carry on revealing things you have no intention of revealing.
No, we don't actually... and don't act like a twelve year old child when someone disagrees with you.
They suck..I see no benefit from owning one period, that goes for 90% of all 06 based chamberings.
Is Jack O'Connor still alive?
I don't know why you guys get p/o'd when I state the obvious.
The 270 is a middle of the road, mediocre cartridge that suffers in every way except trajectory (which I can manage) to the other mediocre all rounder the 30-06. The 30-06 is a vastly superior killer to the 270 with virtually identical recoil and close enough trajectory.
BTW, I got rid of the Saum for mostly the same reason.
I do not like .277..what more is there to say..
As to the 06 comment.. .308 based cartridges get nearly the same velocity with less powder in a SA, and Lapua makes brass for them..I would shoot my Swede any day compared to 270 or any other wannabe magnum 06 case.
So do you have any prose on what case upon which all bullet diameters should be made? Not a whole lot of fact behind your statements here yet. Just randomly tossing opinions pulled from your dark hole and throwing them out onto the Internet?
I'm no 270 fan, and why is a mystery even to me, could be it's parent round (boring 30-06).
However, There is nothing wrong with the 270win, it's very capable, and I wouldn't hesitate to use it on game as large as moose. I would hesitate on big bears, but that's just my urge to keep my hide tooth mark free talking.
Good bullet selection, plentiful brass, no big reloading issues, fine accuracy, good trajectory, and hard hitting. What's the issue again?
This thread reminds me off a quote attributed to oilfield firefighter Red Adair," Arguing with an engineer is like wrestling in the mud with a pig, after a while you start to realize the pig likes it."
One safe bet. The greater the "difference" you see between any cartridges from 257 Roberts to the 300mags...the less actual experience you have.
