It's not worth arguing theres no changing your guys mindset, but atleast parts don't fall off when I operate my gun.

The AR is your countries service rifle, every man worth their weight should know how to operate one.

It would be even nicer if we didn't have to read your nonsense in practically every XCR thread.

It is actually possible to own more than one rifle as well. Don't worry yourself with how others spend their money.

I swear if somebody started a thread that said XCR and that was all it said the thread would turn out exactly like this one and some of the others I have read. Brutal.

yup. but for 2500 bucks i think they have the right if their rifle doesnt work like it should. and by that i mean the REAL problems like misdrilled holes in the barrel for the gas piston system etc. I would not be happy if I had some serious quality control problems in the build of my rifle for that price. but that is just me. again, hence why I bought an HK.

CANADA hand one of the best rifels of all times it was the fnc1 I know I was in the CANADIAN FORCES when they switched to the pea shooter ar and everyone was pissed CANADA only purchased it because it fired a nato 223 round or as we call it super .22 US soldiers hated the m16 in veitnam it was inadequate and still is today for most combat operations that is why the US has been toying with the idea of replacing the ar and its not going to stop. the XCR is a great rifel its unrestricted and has multi cal options that for a hunter is the best part, one rifel for all needs I own the newer model of the XCR and have had no problems with it in the least and like I said no screws have ever came lose or fell out.It seems weird that people that have never owned one have so much bad to say about the XCR way long before ROB ARMS artical that offended all the ar guys that would never buy one but would rather play with a ristricted super .22 at the range what a joke!

So what if I told you that soldiers...combat soldiers, the ones fighting in Afghanistan, have no issues with the AR series? None what so ever. It is not an issue and has not been one since its introduction. The AR is not going to be replaced for a long long time. It will likely be our longest serving rifle in our military history. Forgive me when I take issue to the continuously perpetuated myth that the AR/C7/C8 series is not doing its job. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Weapons fail. You had a part failure. Get the replacement part, fix it and get back shooting. I have had all sorts of rifles have parts fail. All stellar firearms. For the original poster....Have you talked to Wolverine yet?

it is not necessarily the weapon, it is the cartridge that is the problem from what I can gather.

after owning a .223 i can see why. an intermediate round would be ideal, for me maybe a 6.8 spc would do the trick. I actually prefer the 7.62's oomph but I like the trajectory path of the .223.

Between pages 25 to 30 of the XCR's operator's manual, under the heading of "CLEAN, INSPECT, LUBRICATE", it highlights various bolt and parts that needs to check every time you clean, it even show photos of parts that they are talking about.

So with no offense to the OP, but it is time to brush up on your regular cleaning and maintenance routine.:p

MORPHEUS 32: CANADA follows what the US do and always have the US have brought m14 out of mouthballs because of the ARs not being effective in manny situations and when you stand alone you need a weapon that will deliver the punch. I am sorry but the c7 in 556 is not the best choice in my opinion.I must say I do respect your opinion to.

I know when I clean all my other guns, I make sure all the nuts and bolts you never have to remove aren't coming loose.

i was in fact going to cleaning it the day the piece fell off, been shooting it regularly this past week, and didnt see much point in cleaning it knowing it would be used again the next day, i have not once blamed rob arms, merely stated it sucks i had to cut my shooting short... And yes to all those with sensible comments i have contacted wolverine, the parts are on order thank you for your advice

Well, for the people doing the fighting...it is not an issue. Which should tell you something. No one who is carrying a C7/C8 platform is concerned about the rifle and the performance. This concern rests primarily with gun magazines, internet debates and those who pine for the "good old days". The cartridge nor the AR is a concern on the modern battlefield. We are doing a great job killing the enemy with the AR and it is the right weapon. I will leave it at that.

The M14 was brought forward as an interim solution as they fielded the M110. In fairly short order, the M14 will not be on the modern battlefield. Lets us not be lost in nostalgia when it comes to fighting. The CF has used the AR10 platform since the beginning as a semi auto precision rifle...so it is not an issue for us.

With the XCR as I said, just get the part fixed and carry on...

There is no issue with the 223. As I said, this is internet fodder for debate but not an issue with troops actually doing the fighting and carrying the AR/5.56 into harms way...don't you think that says it all? Not an issue for the troops in combat...issue for people in Canada on the internet.....just a thought...

yea I agree, just talking to my uncle and some of the "older" people in the military, they dont like the 556 round at all (let alone the "plastic" c7/c8's). and that future weapons show (where I first heard about this) apparently has it right with the round lacking penetration power which I personally have never heard anyone complain about.

dont get me wrong I have nothing against the ar or the 556, in fact i own a .223 rifle and plan on getting an ar in the future.

But if it didnt work they wouldnt have it right? I really dont know much on the matter, just find it interesting is all.

but yea us b!tching enthusiasts always make things seem worse than they are :p
