I've had this pistol for about a week now, a few times to the club, almost 300 rounds shot. I shot a bunch of Federal 36g cj hp from a bulk box and 100 CCI Blazers with 100% reliability. I've noticed my groupings getting a little better, as I'm a beginner. I don't really think I should waste my $ on 9mm and 45acp when I'm just learning. Also the added recoil may hinder my development.
I found a video on youtube on how to field strip, after doing it a couple times it's a piece of cake. I cleaned it after almost 300 rounds but it wasn't that dirty. I shot about 150 Wolf lead round nose in my CZ75b and it was absolutely filthy!!!
I'm very pleased with my GSG, I haven't come across any bad reviews at all. Pretty well everyone says it's a great gun and I concur. I hated shooting the Ruger target pistols for my safety training at the gun club, they were ill-fitting and I just though they felt like bb-guns. This GSG has a great feel and you can hear and feel the high velocity ammo that it loves.
So I just think I'm going to shoot a lot of lead with my 22 then when I get proficient at target shooting I'll move back up to my 9mm and 45acp. I think it is a great buy at $379. Lots of fun. Here's a pic of it when I first opened it up...
