but seriously for the 2500 range you can get some serious AR quality and ### appeal.
For $2500 you can score a used Swiss which is better then an AR and XCR

...And honnestly its a better more reliable system/design than the AR.

Thats a matter of opinion sir....and yes I would have a swiss and will have one when some decent looking lowers come out to accept lar15 pistol mags...
And yes 50calshooter face palm all you want....You need to open your wallet and buy an xcr so you can speak from personal knowledge and not envy ..
Oh please, I think my point is valid, it has come up around here before.
What did you contribute to this thread besides f**k all...

I believe 50calshooter is speaking with the evidence of 40 years of service in several dozen countries, over a dozen being NATO nations and countless LE departments. Your range time or bush time with an unproven design by a company with zero track record for quality service rifles carries little weight in this debate.

ETA: As for the reason so many are up for grabs. Its a combination of the novelty wearing off, new offerings, and tight finances.

Well, as one of the guys who posted my 7.62x39 XCR on the forum for sale, I can honestly say there are several factors at play:
-Availability (or lack thereof) of 5/30 7.62x39 AR Mags, made worse by the demise of C-Products, possibly made better by Marstar in a couple of weeks
-Accuracy of 7.62x39 round vs. .223 round. I'd take a trade for a .223 in similar shape
-Expense of conversion kit.. I'd rather have a JR carbine than the .223 conversion kit
-Cost of non corrosive brass case 7.62x39 ammo. I'm not willing to run corrosive steel case in the rifle. Can't justify it. Especially when you consider with steel case vs. Aluminum ejection port, the steel case usually wins, leading to some nasty wear on the port.
-Interest in trying something new. Where I'd take a trade for a .223 XCR, I'd also be interested in trying a Tavor or something else.
On the other hand:
- The XCR is SOOOO freaking easy to breakdown and clean. It's easier to maintain than an SKS, and that's saying alot
- The XCR handles well and is well built, despite what the doofs in this forum are saying
- In 7.62x39, although I don't have nice mags and refuse to use steel case ammo in my expensive gun, IF the SHTF, I do have access to said ammo, and the damage to the ejector it would cause is purely cosmetic, so giver!
And finally, as per the prices of the XCR in the forum being near retail. Let's think about this for a second. My rifle was $2700 including tax, shipping and an extra mag. That's the REAL retail price. Putting her up there for just below list is a freaking steal as far as I'm concerned. Another factor in the high price?
I don't really want to sell!! I'd love to have a trade for a Tavor or .223 XCR, but I'm in no damn rush to get rid of this fantastic rifle, and I figure the other sellers are in the same place.
So for you vultures waiting for the prices to drop, you'll be waiting for quite some time. For you haters posting here that the honeymoon is over - think again!

In all seriousness though, why is there so much hate in this thread? People need money, for one, and second, there seems to be an expanding number of non-restricted options and not many can afford to have them all at once. Then theres people like me who realize that having a non-restricted really is not that big of an advantage (for ME) because my shooting will almost exclusively be done on a range and for $2700 I can have one hell of an AR, or an AR and a sidearm. (not a knock at the XCR, simply stating what makes sense for me)
Please have the decency to respect the OPs request and leave the AR chest puffing out of this thread. Yes, I own an AR, yes I love it; but lets not turn this into an "AR vs XCR" thread.
Given your history it reads more like your just masturbating a prejudice. If the OP or anyone *really* wants to know why XCR's go on sale ask the people selling them.
Who asked you?? last I saw you were being ripped for reading to many issues of swat magazine ....now please mind your own
I have been very respectful to all members here including 50calshooter

Edit: If 50calshooter has 40 years of service in several dozen countries at the ripe old age of 27, with over a dozen being NATO nations and countless LE departments, then wow, I want in on that gig.
I think he was talking about the Ar platform not 50calshooter .... Good one
Why are so many people getting outa this gun? looking for reasonable replys here.
Thanks
