JR Carbine Unboxing, Firing & Takedown Videos

Well, I just fired 50 rounds of AE without the little foam pad, and without a hitch. Two G26 mags, and one each G19, G17 and a 33 rounder. I'm now at a loss as to what might have caused the problems, as none of my theories have held up and now the issues are apparently gone again. Good news, but a wee bit confusing and somewhat disconcerting nonetheless.

In other news, I've finally realized what's been bothering me about the barrel...

It's shiny. As in not looking like any other part of the rifle shiny. I see some parkerizing in it's future now.
 
Tore mine down for its initial cleaning and going-over. A weird thing.. the mag well bolt was torqued down so much when it broke free I got a visible spark, a tendril of smoke and a scorched steel smell. I thought holy sh*t.. never seen torque like that on gun assembly.. lol. The stock's lock ring was a bear too even with the AR wrench.

Now that I got 1 of these bad boys anyone know where I can find a muzzle deviece for a 9mm that I can get threaded and put on here?

Questar sells the spikes car2 fake can but it has a six to eight week delivery wait. I'm going to make one out of PVC that doesn't require threading the barrel. I will post pics when I get it underway.
 
Here's a pic with the Spike's CAR-2 just slid onto the barrel (adds ~1/2" to the length without being threaded on).

I'm thinking the SD-2 which is 1/2" longer and 1/4" fatter will be a better match.

33 round mag? Thats Legal?
 
I just went and bought one of these bad boys! I drove an hour and a half to get it, and when the dealer went to do transfer it was sent in for a review.... So now I have to wait till it gets approved and then they will be mailing it out! I am a little bummed that I couldnt bring it home today, but I guess its not all bad. I will hopefully have mine in a week

I've been shooting for awhile now and I just joined CGN.

The laws are so confusing. But I've learnt a lot. I've also added tooo many guns to my "need to buy list". :)

This JR carbine looks like it would be a ton of fun. Even a 10 round mag would be awesome. But a 33 round mag????? :confused:

I also found out you can have short barrel shot guns and rifles. I added those to the list too.
