Ditto! I'd love to see the part in question.
Cant hunt certain things with a round smaller than a .23 cal. The Tavor being .223 makes it too small to legally hunt with.
I'm one of the unfortunate ones... Welds broke on one side, i'd say about 200 rounds through the barrel. But it was handled quickly by Vault, and a new dustcover/spring already in the mail.. So RFB will be up and running for deer season.
The new part is already made differently, no welds, I think it's milled or something.
I still love this rifle, and happy that I have it![]()
The Canuck RFB's were early RFB'S extensively tested (prior to the flaws being discovered).
ALL ours are suffering including the supposed generation 2.
The real generation 2 parts have only just recently arrived -
ALL the Kanuck RFB'S have the weldment problem -
No rifles with the correct fix have been shipped to Kanada -
And I believe no gen2 {or very few} have been shipped stateside.
Our fix parts have been slow because I believe all the fix parts have AmeriKa priority -

I like the comment about the RFB being the XCR of bullpups. An overpriced, sub-par gun whose only appeal is being non-restricted and a new "evil black gun" that's not on an OIC.
I feel badly for those that first bought them expecting they'd be great only to discover they shoot no more accurately than an SKS but cost 15 times as much, and ammo four times as much. Damn....

Wow, that was a bit harsh, no? Does somebody need a hug.....?![]()

I won't loose any sleep over being able to afford to shoot badly with sub-par gun....but thanks for looking out for me.
1" to 1.5" 5 round groups at 100 meters for a semi auto, piston driven bullpup is pretty good in my books.
Enjoy your SKS while pretending it's an AK.
