Are those drywall screws?
I think so. But I won't be playing with it. I don't want him to say I messed with anything when I send it back.

.and the only bad scams I have had the misfortune to deal with have all been from the U.S.,....hmmmmm
Sounds like you are going to soon be out the stock set and your cash. Best bet is to send it by registered mail, then once it is received, if she does not refund, then call your credit card company and get them to refund the transaction. (FRAUD ALERT) will threaten to cut you off if you reverse a CC transaction, but in reality they rarely do if it's a one off.
If (FRAUD ALERT) threatens to cut you off they are in violation of credit card regulations. They can jump up and down all they want, that is exactly why payments through (FRAUD ALERT) for anything need to be funded by plastic, you have that extra layer of protection from (FRAUD ALERT) themselves if something goes sour.Sounds like you are going to soon be out the stock set and your cash. Unfortunately it didn't go through my credit card. I had just verified my account so I could start selling on there.
I'm going to tell them that if they refund my money I will send it back with tracking info within 24 hours and see how that goes...
Escalate it to a claim. (FRAUD ALERT) almost always side with the buyer
Do it quickly, don't wait. (FRAUD ALERT) only gives you 45 days I think then you are SOL for making a claim. As for Joanesbarnsales, NO seller feedback and only 13 buyers, bad deal! Unless they are actually selling the parts as listed this time.
As for feedback, always leave specific details what was wrong so future bidders may have an idea why it is negative. "Bait and switch" is a pretty good part to add to the feedback.
would love to hear the correspondence!
Thanks a bunch for the help guys. Nice to know CGN really is like one big family!
I knew I was paying too much, but I felt that if the woodset was really nice and the other parts included were worth selling that I could have recovered enough to justify the purchase. I offered him $300 plus actual shipping cost on it, and he accepted. That and I felt the rifle I am restoring is worth it, I plan on keeping it as my shooter No1 so the price would not have bothered me had this been a legitimate purchase.
I'd be very surprised if (FRAUD ALERT) did anything useful. I was ripped of by a company that folded up and disappeared, years ago. (FRAUD ALERT) opened a dispute, and that was the end of it. No word from the other party to dispute my story, and nowhere for them to go to chase the money. Useless.
The seller already responded so that's a start anyway. He's let it go to claims by denying my dispute. Worst comes to worst it's now my goal to get him removed from ebay. Call it my $400 donation to helping other milsurp enthusiasts.
