Website showing out of stock. Whew. Almost succumbed to temptation. Now I can put the $ towards the line of credit...
Darn it - hate being in debt when deals like this come along..

Aikinut just trying to shock the procrastinators, lol.

Glad to see order processing has worked its way into May ordering dates now. I just might see some nudge in my order this week.

Just waiting on CFC since May 19th... Not CanAm's fault Ontario's F'ed....
First off thanks to all for pic and feedback on the 1911's, I'll still hold off on new grips till I see mine are cracked...

Question about the .45... Large or small primers for reload preparedness??

All of the 45 ACP I've encountered (and reloaded) have used large pistol primers.

(Not magnum) I know there are some oddballs out there, but I doubt you'll encounter them.

(Still patiently awaiting approval from the CFC)

ordered may 1st.

"We have initiated a transfer to you through the CFC and are awaiting approval before shipping the product to you."

If I call ontario CFC, do I give them the serial number CanAm gave me? The email says there is no reference number because of the bulk transfers given to the CFC from CanAm

you could have got the serial number, reference number and thier license number and started/checked your own transfer,, now the CFO is has to look through the pile that was submitted, as your tranfer could slip to the bottom of the plie and usually causes delays!Phone CA first get the stuff (if you have it already great!)you need then phone your CFO.. :)

I called the CFC first and sorted out an address problem. They forward it onto your provincial CFO. Then i called the CFO the next day-it was processed within that 24hr period and the vendor (CA) had already been notified.

My transfer was initiated on the 15th.

No word yet.

Patient, I am.

Ordering grips, magazines on the way!

KarlB

where'd you order grips and magazines from? Would be nice to grab more magazines for it that aren't more expensive than the gun lol

Blaser Brass use small pistol primers. I'd wait and see what someone who's shot the Norinco stuff to answer. I thought it looked like large primers in the photos but worth it to wait rather than buy 1000 primers that would then have to be sold to me. :p

Ha! You fanboys are histarical.

Well fireguy (we all know what that means... your flaming) all I did was state facts and you disagreed with it so there for I'm "whining, pouting"? Classic old man behaviour... "I'm right, your wrong. That's that"

Wow, you where on hold for a hole 15 mins and where patient... Somebody give the guy a medal. I have bin on hold for a month now and the transfer still hasn't bin started. And I haven't "whined" just stated facts... And you know deep down inside I'm right, but it hurts you to much to know that a month is to long to wait, (fanboy).

"You catch more flies with honey then vinegar" eh. Well, i haven't said anything or done anything "vineagery" so that statement is laughable. Here's one for ya, "the squeeky wheel gets the grease". I like that one better. :)

And now for the first part of your rant, my favorite part... That part you disrespect someone you don't even know because you disagree with them. I may be younger than you but You are clearly the one that needs to grow up. Oh, I forgot... Your the "I'm always right, your always wrong" older type guy. I wish we lived in the same town, so I could intellectually own you to your face.

I won't be coming back onto this thread due to all the drama queens until I receive my pistol and post pictures and such. So if you respond to this, you will just be talking to yourself.

Have a good one.

Normally I would just sit back, eat some popcorn and enjoy the show but for some pressing reason I feel the need to give you a little "old guy" advice :)

You've made reference to "intellectually owning" the old guy but I'm struggling to take you seriously based on spelling and context alone...You started out with "histarical" then went on to use bin instead of been repeatedly... hole instead of whole... to instead of too... then instead of than as a few examples. While your argument may be valid, you've negated your position in the presentation. While I'm not your daddy or your grade 11 English teacher, I'd like to give you this advice son. When presenting an argument, always represent yourself in an intelligent manner... Especially when you're trying to own someone intellectually.

Best regards,

Your brother in arms;)

I ordered from Brownell's. I've been a customer there for more years than I care to recall! LOL

Got a couple of sets of rosewood diamond grips, (not very adventurous, but they look nice) and a

three pack of Chip McCormick stainless 8 round mags.

I haven't had a 1911 for a few years now, these will make really nice project guns.

arrrgh, been with CFO for a week waiting for transfer approval...

the suspense is killing me!

the grips from thai land still are not here, all I know is that they are in a container ship somewhere,

the race between the thai tug boat and the CFO is still on!

Yeah that's basically what I was looking for. No issues shipping those to Canada? Why the Chip McCormick over Wilson Combat?
