Called CFC at noon today just to check , still with CFO . Get e-mail @ 4:30 PM from Canam saying they were contacted by CFC & that I need to call CFC to provide info that Canam did not supply in the bulk transfer ? Funny CFC never asked for any more info when I called at noon today

It took 45 days (ha!) from ordering to having it in my hands. Probably the longest vendor purchase I've ever had, but then again I prepared myself for it when I jumped on the deal. Not saying they couldn't have sped it up (it took 20 days from my card being charged to when the transfer was initiated... ), as they definitely could have, but I'm hoping that they've learned from this experience and will be better prepared next time when they have a smoking deal like this again.

For the price I'm pretty content with the fit & finish. Seems to manual cycle pretty well after taking it apart and cleaning it. I'm going to shoot a box of ammo for test firing and probably put it up on EE... assuming I don't fall in love with it afterwards ;)

Just receive mine yesterday. Cleaned it and put a set of Hogue grips and a Wilson Combat extended thumb safety.

I called the CFO about my 2nd gun... the transfer had been initiated 3 weeks prior. Talked to them first and they said it was approved. Sent a message to Can Am letting them know, they replied almost immediately asking for me to send a scanned or faxed copy of the approval.

I was away on business so it was about a week before I could call back to ask for the approval paperwork. This time they said it was NOT approved and that they needed me to call in and verify my address. Which is ridiculous, my address has never changed for anything. So I gave them the new address, this was about 2 weeks ago. And havent heard a peep since.

I plan to call the CFO again this afternoon to see whats up. But I dont blame Can Am for this incompetence. Yes, they took a while to process payment and initiate transfer. But once thats done they are at the mercy of the CFO just like we are and the CFO is clearly not doing their job well at all. (we all knew this already).

Canpar came through at 8 am this morning. Unboxing uneventful, no surprises, right grip cracked (bought replacements anyhow). Initial stripping and cleaning shows no internal issues. Thank-you Canada Ammo!!

I spoke with the Ontario CFO and the transfer for Order #: 3958588 was completed on Monday. I have also emailed you a copy of the completed transfer. Do you know when you expect this order to ship? Thanks

I saw this. Yes they fit very well and also look good in a non-traditional 1911 way. I can't wait to shoot it. Will probably hit the range friday. Whohoo!!
 
Good News!!...my order arrived today safe and sound. Ordered April 27 delivered today June 12.Didn't have time to check it out too closely 'cause I had to get it hid before the wife got home....The ammo box lock sucks though:bangHead:.....sits about 1/4" or so (estimated) above the box..flops around a lot...and I can get the box open if I try.....have to modify it somehow otherwise look for something else.....no slight on Canada Ammo...they just sell them not make them.

congrats. hope u got a good one. Are the ammo can locks that bad? I order a coupled that weren't shipped with my combo, perhaps I should ask for charge back to my CC?

Called the CFO again today... spent 40 minutes on the phone with a new guy who was definitely not qualified to be doing anything firearms related (couldnt properly pronounce Luger). But, after all was said and done I did find that my transfer had been approved about a week ago and the info was sent to Can Am... But i had him send me the approval so I could forward it to Can Am myself.

Now I just have to get this 3rd package moving. Ive paid, but no transfer initiation yet.
 
It could be that I just got a bad one...who knows....I ordered the PA60 box....it may fit better on the regular 50cal ammo box.
I saw a really great ammo box lock on Ebay...made in Canada...but it was like $30.00US +ship...really for $10 it at least appears to be secured.....as secure as any ammo can be secure.

Ordered: April 23
Transfer Initiated: May 10

Zero communication, no notices from CFO or Canammo at all after the transfer initiation on the 10th.
Was going to call CFO to find out where it was at today and it showed up at my door.

Grips are fine, needs some loving but no major scratches or defects.
 
Mine arrived, grips changed to Hogue's, shot the recoil spring plug across the garage!


Went and quickly put 42 quick rounds threw it this morning without a problem. Muchofun!
