I'm getting that back-of-the-neck tingle that is suspecting some delaying tactics on CanAm's part, particularly with the silence on replies to emails and not taking phone calls (hopefully it's because they are busy packing up shipments, lol). Hope I'm completely out in left field. I think they bit off a little more than they could chew with this offer (business traffic wise). If we all get our purchases I suspect almost all will eventually be forgiven but a tarnished reputation can linger for a while.

I hear you, I've given up trying to get a response via email or phone. It does seems like they respond a little better here in the forum, I guess cuz its out for all to see. Generally I hate doing it here but 5 unanswered emails...BTW still waiting for an update on my missing items - Order #3957782.

Ordered 6 May, approved 10 June and proof emailed to CanAm. I received an email from CanAm customer service asking me to confirm some info with the CFC for a third time. I called them and they had no idea what I was talking about and told me the transfer was already approved. Order #3958201. What is going on?

Same here . Called CFC . No further info req. Replied that back to Canam . No response

Not according to them !

Still waiting. Talked to ontario CFO on Monday said i was approved. Tried contacting canam for them to ship, no response or feedback. Frustrating not having any notice of where the item is. Been waiting since may 11 without any contact with canam. Just looking for a little customer support thats all.
Order #3958374
Thanks

Aren't we all .

May 4th still waiting

Hopefully CanadaAmmo will continue to have deal deals after all this harassment that they've been getting. Sheesh, how many of these guns have been sold? Seems like no one has patience. If you're selling a few thousand gun deals, I can imagine these things take time. It's going to suck when the whiners ruin it for everyone else.

It was a great deal but CanAm was in way over their heads with this one. I even emailed to add product to my order well before it was shipped but no response.

I placed my order on Friday and paid by credit card with the order..

If it is taking this long for everyone else just to have the transfers started and guns shipped out I am a little concerned.

I'll just wait it out, But I would rather pay more and buy it at a gun store or different dealer and know whats going on then be in the dark..

I will give them the benefit of the doubt for now, But this may steer me away from future purchases.

*fingers crossed*

Order Placed April 25th.
Received Order today in the mail - June 12th.
still waiting on the ammo.... it's slated to arrive later this week..... hopefully!

took the gun right down, RIGHT DOWN.
ive never done that before, was kinda fun!
put it in a ice cream bucket full of scolding hot water and some grease fighting dish soap for a hour.
scrubbed it with a tooth brush and rinsed off.

then laid out all the pieces and sprayed with G-96 gun treatment.
put a touch of G-96 oil on the friction points.
re-assembled.
gun runs flawlessly.

im very impressed!
i checked it against the 2x two color (police issue) Norc 45's i picked up years ago.
not as heavy and maybe just a touch cheaper then they are.

only thing i dont like about the gun is the grips.
cheapest plastic i have ever seen.
one grip actually fell apart when i was taking them off.
looks like they torked it down too tight at the factory and cracked it when putting it on.

no worries, Hogue in the mail!

overall very happy with the purchase.

Unreal collection man. I may need a few years to catch up :p

How does the Ruger compare with the Nork and Kimber in your opinion wayupnorth? I ask because I have the Ruger and am interested to learn if I'm going to be disappointed in my Nork purchase (whenever it gets here;)

there is no comparison.
the ruger is 1000x better.
and the kimber is 1000x better then the ruger.
so much smoother fit and finish.
what can you expect from a gun that is costing you around $150, hehe
now, the good news is you can beat the hell out of that Norc and you wont give a hoot about the war wound scratches.
if i got a scratch on my Kimber id be crying for days!

i must say, the fit and finish on the new norc is better then the older ones.
but like i said its a bit lighter then the older ones too.
so while they may be doing a bit more fit and finish they seem to be using some lighter metal (or thiner)
but they are still way heavier then the rugers and kimbers.

all in all still a great deal.
you can shoot that 1000 rounds then just chuck the gun out and your still ahead of the game!

What method(s) are people using to removing the creosote/oil off their new pistol when it arrives? I was thinking about removing the grips and giving her a good soaking with Remington Action Cleaner spray.

I took mine all apart, soaked it all in HOT water for about 15 minutes, then wiped everything down with paper towels and gave it all a good coat of gun scrubber. Then put it all back together. Mines run about 200 rounds without a single issue. Seems to me, these are some VERY well built, reliable guns that simply like the fine finishing of guns that cost 10X their price and do exactly the same thing. I know i know, its no high end 1911... but if you cant shoot the cheap one well, you wont be able to shoot the expensive one well either.

Sounds like rubbing it in to me.....

Well, I guess it might sound like that if you've been waiting a long time. Really I thought I might give some hope that they were catching up on orders, you know, just as a bit of a break from all the complaints. Not that I'm saying they're invalid complaints, but my situation is proof that it is possible for it to go smoothly as well.

Picked up mine from canpar today. Only issue was one grip broke when I racked the slide and the other broke when I removed it. The other problem is the 1000 rds filled up my safe!--thats a good problem.

Okay boyz here she is! I know I know another picture of...........wow a 1911.......but she's my 1911!
