OFFICIAL: Norinco Type 97 Pre-Sale!!!

Latest from a dealer in Quebec is that they have not landed in TO yet for distribution.
So a bit longer I imagine..

If they are in Canada like the seller has said why do you think they have not cleared by customs ? It's assuming he is a liar by your logic !

That's not assuming he's a lier. I work in importing containers, and some times container loads arrive in Canada and they get stuck or delayed in the ports, due to customs inspections, environmental officer inspections, and they take their god dam time. This is Factual process for containers

Weird thing to say, since one retailer is saying they are in country right now on trucks.

Ohh I'm sorry Corps, they actually arrived in APRIL 2013 and are in trucks now.......maybe ....lol :p

The Long Awaited Type 97 civilian model is officially approved for April Delivery 2013!!!!

I do not understend how come rifles are in Canada and we have no information about them. It supposes to be some tech info, spec, user manual, etc. Taking into account that 79T had been confiscated from owners I'd like to know how this new version is diferent from prototype? That exactly has been redesignet? Also please note that original QBZ95 was resently improved to type 95-1 and I hope that this new version is based on new platform (see quote below).

<<During 2010-2011 PLA has adopted an improved version of the Type 95 / QBZ-95 rifle, known as Type 95-1 / QBZ-95-1. This rifle includes several important improvements, based on the field experience with original rifles. Polymer stock is made stronger, barrel is mproved to provide longer service life and better accuracy. Pistol grip and trigger aguard are redesigned, and selector / safety switch is moved to much more comfortable position, right above the pistol grip. Other improvements include addition of the bolt hold-open device and gas regulator. Ejection port is moved forward slightly to ensure that spent cases are ejected forward and to the right, allowing for left-hand shooting if necessary.>>

There are tons of threads on the new t97's look at north sylva thread about them getting frt number. But main point is that, these new models have been redesigned so they cannot be modified to go full auto aka balls to the wall! It's that simple, no magic tricks here
