Chinese Type 81, heard they are coming to Canada

Let us get the Firearms Act abolished as our Prime Minister promised in 2,002, and we can have all the different types of firearms we wish with no restrictions on them and no licence differences like the "12. whatever"(because only in totalitarian states and communist states are some people more equal than others). If one person has a privileged licence then all should have it. Restrictions just get us used to having our freedom controlled and recognizing the rights of bureaucrats and hired politicians to control us.

Demand the of your representatives that the Firearms Act be abolished and those we paid to represent our wishes will have no choice but to obey.

Don't worry, when we all tell them what to do Mr. Harper will bow to the pressure.

Write to the PM now.

Thanks you! I wish all gun owners in canada would unite and push this till its done

I thought it was an SKS with different furniture. Not for me. I want an AK. We should just make our public servants, whom we pay to represent us, to change the rules. Oh, do they represent us or rule over us? Confusing to say the least; like an unspoken dirty secret.

dude, not only you know nothing about type 81, but also you know nothing about western democracy ....... um, you dont pay the public civil servants to represent you ~ you vote for the politicians who will lead the public servants while paying your tax as the public servants' pay checks.

So seriously, the public servants dont really have to give a crap about what you think, because no matter who is in charge of the parliament, they are always there~~!!!

This!

hmm judging by what recently happened to the CZ 858 im a little skeptical over this rifle, i have a feeling once the anti-gun people find out about it the RCMP might do the same thing they did to the CZ 858

What did the RCMP do to the CZ858...?
Wolverine Supplies is no longer bringing in this model - that was a fiasco for them and perhaps that is what you are referring too?
I believe that the Swiss Arms is under review but that is explained elsewhere.
Where did you get your information?

So you want Mr. Harper to get rid of the Firearm Act and when the liberal/NDP have a majority government... they will just bring the Firearm Act back again?

The key is educate the general public and get them to change their opinion on firearms...not the politicians.

I'll take a type 84 but in the mean time I'll keep my vz58 close to my chest (well in my gun safe with the pin with my mags in my locked ammo safe.)

While I agree to an extent, its more a combination of both. We need to continue to educate the masses toward firearms ownership but at the same time we need to reduce the legal burdens.

Legal burdens equal less ownership and that translates into less people fighting for the cause of freedoms.

This.

We don't need to educate the public in order for there to be change.

We need politicians to repeal bad legislation.

we need to then show the public that there aren't rivers of blood running in the streets and present our logic.

We also need to understand that there are those that won't be convinced no matter how much logic you present them...

ron charach and wendy cuiker come to mind. Some people have illusions on government being the protector and an unhealthy fear of inanimate objects.

While we do need to present ourselves to the public well, we can't merely go on their perception. Most will hate guns or fear guns or be indifferent to them.

I would take the cpc abolishing the FA, and writing in clauses that restrict future governments from setting up bad laws in the future.

The right of self protection I believe is the key.

The real key here is to please( or if your charismatic enough you can just tell they will be happy with it) the majority while getting what we want. You have to look at the big picture do you really think the majority cares about self protection, this is Canada after all not many people feel like they are in danger.
