Your confused.
The ACR is already restricted because of the factory barrel length.
The ACR is not an AR-15 military rifle so it has no more chance of becoming restricted or prohibited by name than your XCR does.
The ACR has nothing about it that any other non restricted rifle has once it has an 18.5 inch barrel.
I hope that helps, if your just trolling then do it somewhere else.
Wolverine won't import a shorter barrel but they will import the pistol version?
And you think the RCMP/the government will just allow a 'black' rifle to be able to quick change barrel from 10.5" to 18.5" and stay non restricted?
ACR is a quick change barrel rifle.....or is it not?
RCMP/the government has re-classified firearms before and they are not afraid to do it again.
All the RCMP/the government has to do it add the Bushmaster ACR name to the restricted list, so all ACR will be restricted regardless of the barrel length...just like the Ar15.
Wolverine does import the pistol XCR.
But why would I spend another $2000 to get a 10.5" XCR while I can spend only $500?
The barrels from the pistol XCR will not work in the normal XCR.
And no I am not confused sir, maybe you are.
The RCMP does not have the authority to restrict a rifle by name. There is no legal difference between a 16" barrel and a 10.5" barrel on a semi-auto centre-fire rifle. They are both restricted.
Wolverine probably doesn't want to bring in 16" XCR barrels because not many people would buy them when for an extra 2", you can get the non-restricted for the same price.
Well, the RCMP will lobby the government to change the class.
And XCR has 12" barrel and it makes a big difference.
Like I said in my previous post, Wolverine has already stated on their fourms they will not import shorter barrels for XCR beacuse of legality issues.
