ATT's what you need to know

I'm in Newfoundland and I applied in person for an ATT last Monday. Currently no response back from the Mounties. It's my first restricted and I really want to get to the god damn range to hunt some paper circles. I'm so incredibly frustrated with the whole ATT system.

There is no need for something so arbitrary to take so long to issue. I already have the license, range membership, own the gun plus 1000 rounds and it's registered. Yet it's sitting in my safe because I do not possess a piece of paper saying I can bring it to the only spot I'm allowed to discharge it.

The RCMP and federal government need to wake up. I'd call or write my MP but I don't think the NDP are going to help me.

Signed,

Frustrated law abiding citizen and responsible firearm owner.

Why do you think a few of us have taken them to court?

Its not

Its just that by stating you are a collector you are required to do a few more things and open you self up to inspections with any amount of firearms owned. Where regularly you are only open to inspection if you own more than ten restricteds.

Sorry Shawn.. but that is a BAD thing since it 's forcing one to "give up" his/her rights for absolutely zero benefit to anyone other than those whom don't want any of us to have any firearms (regardless of the #)

In short.. DO NOT help "them".. by bending over to their BS

For how long have you been unable to take your restricted guns to the range?

3+ years now in this fight.. though I knew that would in some ways be a part of what was to be sacrificed when starting it in the first place. (not that such makes me happy of course.. but the end goal sure as hell will!)

Oh and note... if a bunch more ppl got off their apathetic asses and got into the real fight this would have been over by now.

So that's a 'self imposed rule' by Sask CFO. Because Shalimar swears up and down there's no law saying that. And I tend to believe him.....

There is no law it is provincial CFO policy. And unless taken to court it stands. Even if taken to court it will stand as both Shalimar and Cyclone can attest too.
