At 200 meters, the bullet hits on the mildot furthest right when I'm aiming for centre of the target sheet, and I'm out of windage adjustment...it's fully cranked. I'm using the M14.CA CASM (gen 1) mount, weaver tactical rings, but I've been told my receiver might not be straight in relation to the barrel. Options....shim the rings (it's what I did for my old HK knock-off scope), file and shim the M14.CA CASM mount, or take the thing to a gun doctor and figure out another solution (like buy a Springfield).

Actually, I took my rifle in to a buddy of mine to sort it out. He ended up shimming the mount and it seems to have straighted it out. I still have to take it to the range to test it out, but just by looking at it, it look miles better than it did before.

dumb question but I'll ask anyway. Is the entire wood furniture a "Boyd's Stock"? It's beautiful. So what happens to the old stock, and is that a 305 or a SA? Sorry, new to this. I'm wondering what to think about for a cheek riser on mine.

Yup its a Nork m305, i took all of the hardware off of the old stock and transferred it over except for the front ferrule thats crimped on. I got a new SA front ferrule from Brownells for about 7 bucks. The only modification to the stock I needed was lengthen the notch where the receiver mates with the stock on the right side.
