Updated the old SS: VQ trigger pack, Dlask 12.5 bull barrel with a Spectre Ballistics V block, Grey Birch bolt, and TI brake (forgot to order a thread protector). Old 4.5 -14 Mueller APV on it, and seated in a Magpul x22 stock.. Was clover leafing Aguila bulk 38 grain last weekend at 25.

Do we want just one pic or an entire linkdump?
What I've taken to calling "Project Desmond" in honor of MI6's resident Mad Scientist and the actor who portrayed him (note for clarity - this is built on a .22 Charger receiver to be legally a "pistol" in the US):
What you first see opening the case
Peeling the onion
Yup, that's a thousand rounds in there! It all weighs about 30lb buttoned up to carry.
Assembled as 6" pistol--note that pistol setup includes a slingmount on the rear rail to preclude attaching stock
Assembled as 10" pistol
Blue tape marks approximate length I'd need for a 6" handguard--hoping I can find another Midwest that's had its front end buggered beyond sale/use but a salvageable back-half for cutdown
16" rifle setup, folded, with measuring tape to prove 26" OAL for the ATF-leghumpers down here
As an aside, even with this long barrel it one-hands surprisingly well as a pistol!
Unfolded, note the "Lawyer Lettering" on the stock for the benefit of aforementioned Regime bootlickers
That's two 10-round Ruger standard rotary mags with an Alangator Duomag coupler and a standard Ruger mag dustcover.
Finished JUST in time to beat the buzzer on King Jay the Worst's new ban.
Remaining to do:
*Find aforementioned cutdown-candidate Midwest handguard for 6" barrel or something similarly suitable.
*Have pro smith fine-tune alignment of front sights.
*Find suitable scope and QD mount for Rifle mode. (Would appreciate suggestions; needs to reliably hold/return to zero even through repeated removal/remount.)
*Figure out chemicals and containment to add small cleaning kit. (You shoot it, YOU clean it... standing rule if you wanna play with MY toys.
)
*Get to range and test-fire!
*Have rangemaster friends finish THEIR part of the deal and design some From Russia With Love-inspired stages to shoot it on; get my gal out here and into appropriate attire to have her "Bond Girl For A Day" adventure (ugh, I gotta get a tux too?! My style's more MIB than Double-O...)

Decided to rattlecan camo a 10/22 awhile back... It was a fun afternoon project. Not a super durable finish, but as it wears in it will look even better.

All ready to go snipe some SMERSH or SPECTRE mooks, scope just arrived today...
The shop who's been helping me with this really cut me a sweetheart deal, a bundle with not only the scope but a case and bundle with odds-n-ends to help make this thing look like a Ruger factory kit. Scope is MacGyvered onto a 1/2" QD optic riser, wish I coulda found a single-lever one two slots longer.

Update: my pro smith looked over the Charger MWS build Friday while checking sight alignment, and he pronounced it "ready for Q Branch field trials." His wife who manages the shop made me promise to come visit them with it after they finish the move to Idaho, too.
