1022 Tommy Gun Kit

And three months later it's almost finished. This shot below is missing the fore grip. I am using my WWII surplus fore grip just to fill in for a bit

Every time I see this picture I start nerdgasming like crazy. I will probably buy 2 of these kits, one for shooting, and a backup in case the first one gets scratched.

I believe so. Not the tear drops though. I suspect it has something to do with clearing the rail that holds the stick mags.

I know I have to wait, but I'd still like a ballpark/realised number on the price. Less than a small car is somewhat comforting, but small cars vary in price a lot.

Say.... would it be the same price as the standard 10/22? ($300)
The standard cz 858? ($650)
The standard Ar 180b ($1200) :(

The Banana mags work fine and the tear drop mags should be OK although I have not tried them since I can't get my hands on any. I can't see any reason why they won't fit from what I have seen from pictures of them. Its the drum mags that are the problem and we are working on trying to fix that issue before we go to market.

BTW, The small cars are I've seen are definitely less than a CZ858.;)

I have a tear drop and a drum if you really need one for testing. How much longer till we can line up?

THREE WEEKS AND COUNTING (i hope)

We should be on time but I am waiting for a part we needed to purchase rather than make. A last minute change so I'm hoping the part will be here in a week or so but that is all that might create a slight delay...

Yah right!.

No... really, we'll be fine.:runaway:

Well I just came from the wood shop and they are cranking out these beautifull walnut stocks.:D They are almost half done. The machine shop has been running all weekend. The receivers are taking a little longer on the mill than anticipated but they sure look nice. I am still waiting on delivery of this part I need to finish the rest of the kit. We might have a small delay by a week or so as once I have this part I still have to modify it to work with the kit.

So bare with me. Everything should be delivered to our colleague who operates the internet store before the end of the month. I'm surprised at how well things are moving considering I have never undertaken an enterprise anything like this in my life. It really is quite the production.

Something to think about while you are all waiting for the kit to hit the market. As soon as this little production line is running all by its self I will be starting to develop the next kit. An MP5 for the 1022. It can be done and it will look pretty damn close to the real thing once we re finished. I expect late spring of 2010 for it to be on the market. I'll be posting pictures of its develop as we go along.

That about it for now. I'll let you know when the Thompsons are done.

Regards
John

Ok there are lot's of things I have been missing apparently, that's what happens when I get too carried onto one thing. I don't have a 10/22, I'll buy one for the only purpose of getting this kit.

Just want to know, aside from the kit, what will I need to have it the way it should be?
-barrel?
-new bolt release?
-mags?
-any 10/22 will work in it?

Excellent!

How many are you making for the first run?

We will have 20 kits for the taking by months end at the very latest. We expect they will sell out within days if not the day of their release. In anticipation of this, we are starting a second run the minute they sell out and figure it will be 20 business days until a second batch is ready for you to buy.
