1911's Pics Thread

Picked this one up last week: It's an early production Springfield Armory 1911-A1 parkerized.

Got it for cheap with 2 mags, a Bianchi IWB holster, a box of ammo and 100 185gr. FMJ hollow point bullets.

Changed the grips, cleaned and oiled it. Looking good now!!

Bump! I really like these pictures of my 1911!

Here is my 2015 Springfield Armory MC Operator (PX9110MLP)
- SF X300 Ultra
- VZ Operator II, Dirty Olive

After having shot a more purist 1911 for 2.5 years (2 different STI trojan), i am impressed of the worksmanship behind SV.
Everything is fitted so tight yet cycles so smooth.

I'm not necessarily rolling on cash myself, i only own 2 handguns, which one is for sale so once the trojan sold this will be my only handgun.
I tend to own very few guns, and use the ones i have lots

So I turn 45 today... No better way to celebrate than with a shiny new .45, amiright? The SO bought me this little beauty since you need a .45 on your 45th, or so I've convinced her. Got a Model 29 last year for similar reasons. Not sure what I'll get next year, as according to a rather famous quote, they don't make a .46 yet.

Without much more coffee-fueled rambling, I present to you my shiny new Les Baer Custom Premier II

A couple of hundred rounds down the pipe and I believe I can say it was well worth the price tag.

It will be hard for you from now on to really appreciate many other handguns, this one is the Nirvana of all handguns... Congrat on both 45... JP.

I used that train of thought on my wife when I turned 45 too. Bought a Colt Gold Cup. I need to turn 45 again, but that would mean winding back the clock a few years ...
