2015 - My Black Rifle shoots sub-MOA groups all day long challenge! Revised Rules!

Nice....I actually called the far right tighter then the top group...2/100ths off of Honorable Mention...DOH!!
Nice shootn.

I know and the 1.5 was a heartbreaker too because the 1 shot flyer I had called as I fubared and pulled trigger while cheek weld slipped just slightly. It was first shot so tried to compensate to the right, but obviously didnt compensate enough

Nice shooting
It will be interesting to see what we can do

First attempt with my DPMS HBAR LR AR10 topped by a S&B 3X12X50 L7, it did not work on 5 diamonds but 3, ammo is Fed GMM 168 gr...
I will bring 6 maybe 7 AR's to this challenge...
A lot of fun trying this...
Thanks Trinimon for a great idea... JP.:d

Caramel, it looks like your scope on that 223 must be resting on your eyebrow when you are shooting.

I shoot in armour and a vest with a fully extended stock and thought the same thing.
I know what it is, I was looking at it as a SR set up (prone, kneeling, sitting, standing, urban prone), off a bench having the scope back that far wouldn't be an issue.

The above statement is not intended to offend or belittle anyone. If it works for you it works.

Good attempt JP. What happened with the bottom two groups? You were on a roll.

The botton of the paper was lifting lightly because of the wind, i had to make sure to take my shot between the flurry, to bad, i was out of GMM 168 after this attemp... I will be back at it... JP.:)

It was tons of fun. Cant wait to try again. I took another look at my target after seeing yours measured outside to outside and subtract caliber and my groups were ever so slightly smaller than doing a measurement of outside diameter to inside diameter of two furthest rounds. Not sure if the micrometer is just not that accurate(its a mastercraft job) but brough my 1.02 group down to 1.014. So anyone close make sure you measure that way.

Great shooting there Caramel!

I think measuring outside then substracting the caliber diameter is very easy and precise, it work for me... JP.

I tried twice yesterday, and failed.

I think my rifle is capable of better (assuming I can shoot it)
1:9 16" HBAR
Geissele trigger

I think my available ammo & optic are holding me back (or so I'm telling myself ;))
62g PMC
62g AE
Vortex 1-4 PST, my POA dot more than covers the target dots.

I'll try again though, very challenging!

Got 4 out of 5 today over 2 attempts. I think or is it 5? I ask because the target says moa is 1.047"@100 yards

group sizes of 0.801", 1.021", 0.880", 0.994", 0.749", and 0.944".

My first attempt started out good with a .500" followed by a .894" but all others were not quite moa

Great shooting, tomorrow i am back at it with my Armalite AR 10T... JP.
Thanks again, I believe you can get that double gold star at least! Those were some awesome groups before and seen your shooting in the past. I think I might try it next time from 200 yards and see if it still holds true. I've had guns before where they actually shot a little bit tighter at the 200.. so fingers crossed.
