What kinda choke you usin? I had a limbsaver on my 870 slug gun I used to have it definitely tamed the gun alot for sure I agree!
First time duck hunting. I started hunting at 41, to get outside more, to spend time with my brother and to put my firearms to use. We don't have much in the way of equipment and goose/duck decoys are WAY too expensive for some reason, but that doesn't stop us.
We jumped ducks at several sloughs in the area and scored 5 the first day. Today we hit some federal lands we had seen before and came away with 13 in total!
I'm so frigging hooked now. Shooting clays is one thing, but ducks are another. Pride is hitting two dekeing Teals in one pass.
Oh I was shooting a Mossberg 500 with Score #3 3 inch shells. Stripped down and waded in for one the first day, brought an inflatable dinghy this time around.

Im using a Kicks High Flyer in modified
I was gonna get a kicks choke, hows it pattern?
Between work and autumn clean-up I managed to get out for the first time this year. I'm aware of flyways where I hunt ducks, therefore I set in a location without decoys or duck calls. My 8 duck daily limited could out been achieved 5 fold. I passed up many ducks to prolong my stay. Mother nature gave me a spectacular sunrise along with a diversity and abundance of ducks..........I had a great morning.

Im happy with the patterns. All the tests I've done with my gun showed improved patterns over the factory chokes. I chose the Kicks choke because of its length and because its heavily ported. I cant say its the best option because I havent tried other comparible chokes out of the same gun, but Im very please with it.
Hey man as long as yer happy with it that's all that matters, I might have to pick one up and see if the ported tubes really make that much a difference in kick.
Some people say it doesnt make a difference, others say its negligible. I cant say that it single handedly made a substantial difference, but there was a bit of an improvement. Obviously the new recoil pad made the biggest difference, but for me any additional reduction in recoil was worthwhile. I wanted to upgrade the factory chokes with something extended to increase the barrel length anyway, so this kind of killed two birds with one stone.
Yes it is a Fabarm and never had a problem with it. It settles onto the shoulder nicely where I'm looking right down the rib to the front bead. I usually shoot 3" No# 4 steel for ducks. I use a variety of brand name shells: Heavy Metal, Blind Side, Black Cloud and Kent. All of them shoot equally well. LOL!!!, yes the buck-tooth rodent was displeased with me when I used it's home as a temporary residence. He circumnavigated me on three occasions with discuss, LOL!!!Nice is not even the best word to describe those pictures! I'm sure the muskrat was unhappy with you but he'll get over it haha. Is that a fabarms shotgun? If so how do you like it? What kind of ammo were ya usin? Awesome scenery and shoot you had there!

It was a great morning with the spectacular scenery that was offered. Ducks were really flying that morning and passed-up many at barrel length.
