25 Yard Freestyle Accuracy.....let's play a game.

Your groups are vertical because the front sight is in the black. OK for action shooting, but for bullseye you need a horizontal reference of white. Try putting a piece of paper across the bull so you only see the top half of the black. You shoot very well and deserve a higher score.

Good idea, I'll get the lower half of the bull in white, will obviously help. Thanks for the tip!

25M with my P226MK25 9x19. 30 Rounds standing no barricade.

Trying to tell us you shot those groups Gangsta style, holding your pistol sideways and upside down;)

Skoal, if I were you, and if the targets you posted were consistent with where you normally group at 25, I would drift my sights slightly.

Your groups are not bad at all. And it's not uncommon for good shooters to drift their fixed Glock sights.

I would but when shot from a rest its pretty bang on so I know its me. Im starting to understand when people say that if you can shoot a factory glock you can shoot anything.

Tyhere is a reason why a sight is adjustable. It allows the gun to be adjusted to shoot POA for YOU.

Each of us hold a gun with different pressures with each hand. On recoil, the gun moves depending on how we hold it. Once you are good enough to shoot a group, you are good enough to move the sight a bit so the group is centered on the POA.

Maybe ill nudger to the right alittle though im still reluctant to do so.

^^ I would. How often do you shoot from a bench?

If it matters, I have drifted my Glock rear sight slightly to the right. This was after I, and two other very good shooters confirmed it was shooting left. It happens.

Well, after nearly three months I finally got to the range on Sunday and tried two handed shooting with my bullseye match guns, and I'm afraid it didn't go well. I won't waste bandwidth with images. Best I could do was 97x3 with the 22, and the same with the 32, the 45 was worse, just 91x3. Maybe it is just age, being off for too long, or a combination. Oh? The guns? The 22 and 32 are Unique DES 22U and 32U. The 45 is my old Gold Cup accurized by Lewis Muller. All wear Ultradot sights. Gotta get back in practise!

This is my 610 shooting .40S&W. This one was a 96. I'm finding out this thing is very accurate, I just wish I could do my part more consistently.

Here's my very first pistol shoot at 25 yds. I'm new to handgun shooting too so there is a lot of room for improvement.

The very top left is a staple tear. 5 on paper out of ten.

At least you have some hits on paper. Good job.
Here are a few hints. Always keep in mind, that black dot downrange is just a guide to point the pistol in the right direction.
Next time at the range, take a letter sized note pad along. Staple 3 sheet in landscape format above each other. You will have a white target about
10 x 24 inches.
Now aim at the center of the white target. FOCUS ON THE SIGHTS!!! You will notice that your gun will be swaying around on the target.
That's normal. Just SQUEEZE until the hammer drops. As you get more proficient the sway will be less and less. At your first outings your groups will fill the whole 3 sheets.
As you progress you will find that your groups will shrink. Once you shoot into a 8" circle, you can start shooting at a bullseye target.
When you do the above practice , DON'T empty a magazine. Shoot every shot deliberate. Lower your gun after every shot and take a few deep breaths. Raise the gun, focusing on the sight picture, and squeeze the trigger. You will safe a lot of ammo and will be a better shooter in a fraction of time, then if you empty one magazine after the other. Before you know it you will be shooting into the black 9 times ouf of 10. Last weekend I was participating at a IDPA style fun shoot. On the first two stages one guy was shooting up the ceiling in our range. He was aligning the front sight with the target, but the rear sight was way low. I told him to focus on the sights. To align the front sight with the rear sight. After that he had his shots in or around the target. He was a very happy camper.
Let me know how it works for you.
