.50 Beowulf 3rd Party Magazines

Yes I do I run Urban Tactical as well, the news is legit as soon as I get the email I will post it

You're saying you have an E-Mail from the RCMP stating that these magazines are legal? Yet Northern Republic Magazine can't get anything in writting. Something's not right there...

Urban tactical is selling press check ones not e-lander

I have my own observations and questions on this, but I don't want to post them in this sponsor's forum. Also, I thought we were asked not to discuss selling a certain product, here on CGN untill there was RCMP/CFC confirmation that the product is legal. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Man, it doesn't take long for the wolves to smell weakness on these boards!

Edit: Sorry for getting off-topic on your paid space once again NR. We are still eagerly waiting updates from you guys...

?

not sure it will answer your question... but it the latest information I found

http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cfp-pcaf/bulletins/bus-ent/20110323-72-eng.htm

Thank you Duff350. I actually carry a copy of that in my range bag. What I was referring to, however, is this:

My apologies, NR, for the link. I'm just trying to clarify my earlier post.

Bulletion No 72 designed and manufactured for not what other rounds they can hold. The reason was to prevent the RCMP putting 22 LR rounds in a magazine and making them all 1 round or less... that's why it's written that way... Do any other round doesn't matter just what it was designed and manufactured for.

There is no permission required from the RCMP of any kind of that product as long as it only holds 5 50 bewulf rounds. They may not like it but it's to bad so sad the only people you need to deal with is Canadian customs and if the magazines hold 6 rounds then you need to have a valid reason to import them for a prescribed purpose ie police, military, movies manufacturing ect.

We are now actively discussing the magazines with the RCMP (finally) and the office of the Public Safety Minister has been involved. As expected, certain concerns have been brought up by the RCMP. No one wants to step on a political landmine here, so all are treading very carefully.

I hope other comapnies are doing the same.

Thank you for the update.

I always struggle with the hurry up and wait on new guns and related stuff. Waiting two years for an ACR almost killed me; waiting six months for a h&k USP kept me up at night and now these mags are looking so ###y.

I know this is premature and that there are a lot of hungry customers including myself looking for these mags but I have to ask. When all is said and done, do you have any idea of the quantities you will be bringing in? Are these mags going to be like AA's where there are limited shipments or will these be a stock item?

I'm buying 5 of these.

Assuming everyone in this thread wants 5 each. That's already quite a significant amount.

NR would you have enough stock for these so that the supply doesn't dry out making the price go as high as $200?

We're not bringing in stock until the RCMP approves the design. However, we have plans in place to ensure everyone gets what they want relatively quickly. The company we're working with is committed to cranking these mags out for the Canadian market.
