.50 Beowulf 3rd Party Magazines

I would like to say a couple of things.

I want to thank NR for bringing in this product, not just because I think they are cool, but because it's going to put an end to the scalper prices and slimy, dirty profiteering that is infecting the EE. You are doing what I only wish I could do...you are putting the boots to all those dirtbags charging hundreds of dollars per mag.

I would like to personally thank the Dirtbags, because of them I've been ruling with legal 16 round mags for the last month with a rise in my Levis.
My GF spends $200 on a haircut and some people spend $200 on shoes or KC lights for their Jeep. Who cares, its all subjective and our money to do with what we please.

KNO3-, you are ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!!! I see so many ppl in here #####ing about so and so selling this, that and the other thing for way to much money. Then don't BUY IT!!! Obviously people are trying to maximize profit! Why not?! Every time I turn around someone else has their hands in my pocket...I need to feed those hungry hippos somehow! No, I have NOT sold anything "overpriced", but I do sell for what a market values items at. I currently have a KSG, and have had offers for it for 500 more then I paid for it BECAUSE they are hard to come by. What am I to do, say "Nah, profiteering is so wrong according to the CGNers, I can't do that....telll you what, I'll sell it to you for what I paid MINUS 20% minus shipping and taxes BECAUSE THATS WHAT CGN WHARF RATS THINK IS FAIR...and then I'll just wait patiently so I can buy another one at full price. It gets under my skin to when I see something obviously overpriced, BUT, I don't have to buy it!!! sooooooo...don't buy the overpriced 200 dollar mags....let the seller realize he has no bites, or perhaps he has bites? Some people have more money then time, some are suckers. Who cares? And you know what I find really odd about this? Often times the folks I see complaining end up doing the very same thing they ##### about on these boards incessantly, apparently it's ok for them to do it. Children, please.... let the world continue to revolve, shall we?

CGN Wharf Rats!! ahahahahaah!

It's like the guys who to go to the Barrett Jackson auctions and buy rare cars, only to let them sit in their garage and never be driven. Cars are meant to be driven and enjoyed, not bought as an investment and collect dust. The people who bought these mags solely to turn around and resell them for a meazly $100-200 profit aren't true gun enthusiasts, but purely profiteers.

That's the thing about a free capitalist society. People can buy and sell anything they want for whatever price they agee to, and then do what they want with the money or item afterwards.

To argue against it is no different than saying "you don't need an AR15".

Don't like EE prices? Then don't buy from the seller. Free will and all that.

Would need new laws to be drafted for that to happen. Or Orders in Council.

The LAR mags hit the media. They are still here.

How anyone can claim they want to be discreet on the internet is beyond me. This is what it is, and it is far from the first time something like this has happened. Hence why the mounties printed a bulletin saying how and why it is legal.

Uh-huh, or just an amendment to an existing statute or regulation. It's not that hard to do.

And again, yes, I do believe that constant blabbing on the internet about this clever little loophole that makes shooters happy could bring unwanted attention/action. More chatter makes it more salient, hence the contextual use of "discreet". And let's face it: an RCMP bulletin is hardly the Globe and Mail.

Ya. Like it isn't asked on here every week right along with bear defence, shooting into spacer and bullpup threads.

Its been very discreet until now. And yes, the mounties did quote it in the media that LAR mags were legal, and why, when the papers had it as the topic of the week a couple of months ago.

I thought any attempt at discretion was futile...?
I see cap'ty as a lightening-rod issue..one of those firearms related issues that gets the general public all fired-up.
You may have noticed that NRM has tried to be "discreet" themselves. That should tell you something.
But if you think that shouting it from the rooftops can't hurt, then carry on...

You are completely correct about them not being true enthusiasts.

I really want to design/and distribute a ridiculously cheap .50B pistol now... I could probably whip one up using scrap metal from work to keep cost down. lol

Being discreet on the internet, in an OPEN forum. Thanks for the laugh

And don't forget to tell TV... to remove the Utube vids of blasting 10+ rnds out of his Non restricted Tavor.

Dirty laundry once it hits the net never washes clean, cats are out of the bag, Welcome to the INTERNET.

I'm not shouting it from the roof tops. I'm saying we are fooling ourselves if posting on a public forum that anyone can sign up for is considered discreet.

As said earlier, the first rule about fight club is you don't talk about fight club. Last time I check, canadianfightclubnutz dot com forum doesn't exist.

AND thanks for the advice from the "free enterprise country" and "free capitalist society" folks.

Next time a dealer sells hot product at a fair non gouging price like the $21-$25 bucks PMags the entrepreneurs will be sure to scoop them all up; then scalp them on EE. Heard that's what the Americans are doing.

Once the attitude of "If I don't scalp the next guy will" reaches the dealer don't scream bloody murder when they participate with inflated prices; Why shouldn't the dealer profit, seems fair enough. According to the "FREE ..." formula NR Magazine should sell these new mags between one to two hundred dollars each for a nice tidy profit.

Right and eventually the invisible hand will push the price down to the balancing point when new competition enters the market... Its basic economics, low supply, high demand, seller dictate price, eventually once supply catches up the price will come down.

so yeah um... about the mags? when do u think you will have them in country ready to ship, if say they were approved tomorrow? hypeithectly specking
I wish I could give you more information, but I really don't want to speculate too much on this topic. Could be weeks, could be months. Timing is the great unknown in the import business.

Ah. So the logic is "It's out already, so let's keep talking and talking about it." What could be more clever than that? I mean, let's make sure that the anti's really hear us rub their noses in that loophole. Hey man, they can't stop us at 5, no matter what!
Genius.

Pehaps you should advise NRM to do some advertising based on the "real" cap'ty...it's already out there, so why not? Negative repercussions? Nah!

PS: Your tip of the day - context affects the meaning of words, eg/ "discreet"

Its not a loophole.

Indeed it is a de facto loophole in that it is a means of evading the intent of legislation/regulation to limit semi centrefire long guns to 5 per mag.
Believe me, a jerk like Allan Rock could come up with wording/drafting to close it up. Is that likely? No, probably not now. But what about when Justin is the new Prime Minister? Which appears likely...

You seriously believe the likes of Wendy hasn't already flog the news media with links to all these massive baby killing machines.

You seriously believe the news hounds hasn't dug through every pile of dirty laundry looking for sensational news that sells. Sorry but clip holding more bullet is BORING :HR: Need blood and tears.

Ever heard of Twitter, Google, UTube, facebook that instantly alerts everyone Justin Berber just farted sideways.

Tip of the day for you: Welcome to 2013, the instant age. In a couple of clicks I can easily inundate every news and anti sites with links detailing all but why bother, already done numerous times, OLD NEWS.
