.50 Beowulf specific followers

Nitpicking, but this is a .450 Bushmaster magazine follower. The round is the tell sign, and the fact that it's hosted on bushmaster.com :p

henh????

lol, if it has a different shape to suit a specific round....it's hard to argue it is the same follower...

I'm not trying to dogpile on you.....honest.

:)

The underside and functions are all the same. the only difference is on the top. technically speaking is the same follower with same functions. just now with that top end milled differently rounds just seat nicer. It is different in a sense though yes.

The top relates to function as much as the bottom side. Otherwise I'd be using 7.62x39 AR mags to shoot 556.

But I can't. Because they are different followers, and it won't feed properly.

In the end these are not illegal they have been inspected and have been made by C products defense. We ordered from the owner themselves at shot show. Which is why we have received the first shipment. We made the first order and did not advertise until they were in stock. If you do not want to purchase them we do not have hard feelings. So if you want them please call and place an order and we ship out same business days. Otherwise you Gentleman have a nice day.

Is it possible to get something from C Defense stating that these are .50 Beo mags? My greatest concern is that a LEO encounters the same issue that I did and gets incorrect info from the folks at C Defense if they called in.

My original post was not intended to do harm to the business that BBC is operating, simply to communicate the information that I received directly from the manufacturer. I'm going to go back and edit that comment since it now appears this information was not correct. Glad to see that this is the case since I'd like to use mine and the service I got from BBC was great.

As for if we can get something from them I do not know. However there will be no issues as the RCMP have to ins Wpect the it. These were allowed in by the CFO so that alone means that they are legal.

your average LEO won't know what the heck is .50 Beowulf anyways, they are more than likely to call the RCMP-CFP to verify, you are better off asking the CFP directly if you are concerned about LEO encounters, your average LEO wont be arsed to call the manufacture directly.

Is there a Canadian Law states that magazine followers can not be swapped, changed?
which part of the the magazine defines what type of magazine it is? (as fenceline stated)
anyone got charged/raided at press-check ventures? they have no other Beowulf products, and does not hold rights to the patent.
you know what are the answers to all this? our stupid law is too vague even the RCMP does not know how to deal with it.
If the C-product said this is a Beowulf mag, then Beowulf mag it is.

Yup, those are them smurf blue followers that reportedly work so well for 50B but are terrible for other calibers these mags weren't intended for. Good thing Cowboy Tac also has replacement anti tilt followers that will fix that up real quick. Remember: followers are all the same. Except for the top half of them, which aren't the same. Get it?

Canadian gun legislation = clarity.

These are what actual Alexander Arms 50 Beowulf followers look like.

I've never had issues with AA mags in any calibres I've shot through them...and that includes .223/5.56/.300BLK/.50BW. That being said, it is possible to cram the rounds in crappy and induce tilt in the follower which could make jamming a possibility. Not to mention changing the follower will require re-pinning the mag (which looks terrible IMO) as the leg length (of the follower) will be different.

legally speaking it sounds like the 223 followers where modified slightly to better feed the intended round, during that process the ".223 stamp" was milled out..... simple explanation

or after reading, the removable plate is obviously removable beacause it is "multi-cal"

Huh?

The only modification to that follower was to remove the '5.56' imprint.
The 'removable plate' being referred to, I can only assume is the baseplate.......
