6.5 Creedmoor?

Why are some of you hanging around manbunned men listening to their drivel to the extent it makes you hate a calibre? Walk away.

And you’ve just reiterated my point with your first and third lines.. 🙄

You’ll be waiting a long time, so pull up a chair, grab a drink and smoke ‘em if you got ‘em cause I don’t have nor will have a 6.5CM.

So all you have is more chirping from the peanut gallery. Got it.

Well, its certainly settled for anyone who might have doubed that shooting animals in the brain kills them!

Great shot and cool picture, but think it was just a matter of pointing out that any rifle would have done the same and it doesn't shed any light on the performance of 6.5 CM. Not an attack or anything meant to belittle you.

Kinda funny how some fellers within little to no experience with the topic at hand, feel the need to have a me too moment.
Not just this thread but site wide.
No an attack, just a fact,

As a 6.5 CM fan...while it is great to be able to use less of a wider array of powders, have kinda noticed the last lil while that I can load a 270 to have almost 100% crossover with a 6.5 CM, and yet still be able to crank lots more juice out of it if thats wanted.

For a hunter at typical ranges, if you handload, thats an option too. Although the 6.5 CM is the "easy button" answer for a lot of things.

We’ve been using the 127LRX, 143ELDX, and 147ELDM. Velocities vary depending on specific loads and rifles, but usually between 2650 to 2750. I’ve used the 147 for my last 4 elk.
Why did you settle on the eldm for hunting? Just picked up a CM, about to try different ammunition.

***UPDATE***
With great intentions, yesterday I headed into Calgary to purchase my new 6.5 Creedmoor. I had three that I wanted to choose from: Sako S20 Hunter, Benelli Lupo Wood and Tikka T3X Lite Polyfade. All have 24" inch barrels, which was one of the main reasons for the attraction, more velocity.
I viewed two of the three at the one store, whereas, the Sako was sold-out. Therefore I went to another store and something caught my eye, it was love at first sight. Although I'm a FUDD, I not only love wood and blue steel, I don't mind synthetic, I own two already.
When I fondled the firearm, it turned into lust! Long story short, I purchased it, but it's not a 6.5 Creemoor. Sorry guys!

Case in point. When you have done it, feel free to comment. We both know that will never happen.

When I've shot a moose in the head? I have.

Honestly, it seems like something is bothering you so much that you're lashing out, thats why I'm wondering if you felt slighted. That was a sincere question.

But Pretty sure that disrespect was no ones intent here. If the picture was supposed to garner some kind of accolades and it didn't, I apologize.

In my case I was ribbing the OP, not ####ting on the 6.5CM. If you have seen what the OP has posted on other threads you'd understand.

Nothing wrong with 6.5CM, it does a lot of things right, if it didn't it wouldn't be the most successful new cartridge in decades.

Lol You can't just leave us hanging like that! What rifle? What caliber?

I don't take a lot of pictures of what I shoot because I simply don't care. Its meat in the freezer and not much more to me, with no ego attachment at all.

Have more kills with the 6.5x55 which is of course the same projectile and at the same velocity.

Now what does any of this have to do with any rifle at all killing something when you shoot it in the brain? Again, if you were disappointed or bothered that we weren't celebrating you and your skills, post it again and I can try to be more validating.

I recall you posting a pic of a doe shot with a TSX bullet out of swede, a one and done deal that made an instant expert on TSX performance. It kinda reminded me of a kid one his first hunt.

I can really tell you feel disrespected here, and look, I'll open up and tell you why thats the last thing I'd ever be willing to do.

I can vividly remember once as a kindergardener having put my heart and soul into drawing a dog. When I showed the teacher, he said "thats a great lion".

Of course, I was completely gutted. Like my effort didn't matter. Like...I...didn't count. After all, I could draw better than all the other kids, why wasn't it being recognized?! And I reacted by lashing out, but it was really only just to cover my own hurt.

If thats how you feel, I really apologize. Listen, that was great hunting. Youre amazing. The best. And that truly proved something about the 6.5 CM compared to any other rifle.

I know, I know. Too little too late, but I hope its at least a little bit of a salve.

Moose aren’t immune to the Creed either. Kimber Hunter, 130gr TSX to the back of the head . About 100 yds running straight away. Another spectator summersault.

BTW I have, a Cow at about 150yrds with a .270, back about a decade ago.

Yet somehow I didn’t feel the need then or now to say how it panned out in some spectacular fashion as you did previously. Just that most animals will expire quite effectively if head shot with most BG Calibers.

As Joel stated, it’s meat in the freezer, family and friends enjoyed the meals from it with no ego stroking involved ‘cause there was no need for it.

No man bun for you.

Pretty sure you've taken some game...but either way.

I'll sometimes get a picture of a deer or moose to send to someone who just sold me a rifle, or a buddy or two here just for the sake of convo, but thats few and far between. A dead animal is a dead animal. Don't really feel a need to photo document every kill and post it publically.

Just as I figured, a couple of “me too” posters with no experience with the cartridge in question, but at least it’s good for upping the post count totals for you, and entertainment for me.🤣
