7.62mm DCRA LE No4 conversion thread

I have DCRA #1710. Many parts are from Maltby and all match except the wood. Nothing is written on the receiver, except "No 4 Mk 1". The number is only written on the receiver, without the DCRA symbol. The wood is mint and from Longbranch. It still has the 303 mag and 303 extractor. The rifle has peep sight for 300 and 600 yards.
This example is Mint, it has never been fired and the previous older was one the armorer who did the conversion jobs at the Canadian Forces armory in Montreal. Sadly, he passed away some years ago, it is his friend who sold me this beautiful rifle. I suppose this rifle was kept as "safe queen" and the owner shooted with his others DCRA rifles.

Just got a hold of Canadian Arsenal Conversion DCRA # 152 built on a 1945 Longbranch No4 MK1* with a Parker Hale PH 5C rear sight. I Will post pics when I get it home.

:canadaFlag:

Front sight is a Brindles (Brit). Permitted quick elevation changes if you have all the post. Nice sight worth approx $60 - 75 if you can find one. Australians (Centrol) made similar. Occasionally show up on eBay.

Thanks guys. Wonder how many gizillion front sight types there are. I know I have about four on the DCRA conversions that I own.
