7.62mm DCRA LE No4 conversion thread

Info found, unumbered barrel.
About 150 DCRA's have been tracked down so far, thank you.
Still waiting confirmation from other members + still waiting for the ''Base or Garrison'' DCRA No4's still locked up in their dungeon somewheres in Canada.
Lots of conversions are still stuck in the US
I remember those 2, I think the original owner was asking $1300 a pop, few years back and sold them as a set?
Since most are in mint shape and were range guns with no .308 mag nor PH sights, they seem to vary from $500-600+
I know a guy who's asking $1000 for his and well he still hasn't sold them..They've been for sale for years.

No, you must be mistaken about these.
I did get them together as a pair. But they came directly from the person who originally had them. He shot at Bisley with the Canadian team in 1958.

Found and bought #928
Just found and bought #928 at the Lumby Gunshow in BC. It is very nice but the original battle sight was removed and an S&K instamount was installed. That will be remedied soon.
The rifle itself is built on a 91 series, 1949, CNo4 MkI* receiver.
There is nothing spectacular about the rifle other than it has a laminated stock.
If someone wants to post some pics for me (I am computer challenged) please send me an email and I will send some pics.
When I first saw it I had to look twice to make sure. It is stock number 108.
Don, a CGNer whose alias I won't post, walked past it at least 3 dozen times. Then spent the rest of the show time drooling, crying and gnashing his teeth. Even threatened to kidnap my dog. Talk about sinking to the lowest levels.

What are their DCRA numbers? Or are these just garden variety 7.62 conversions?
DCRA # 782 from Albayo to me. Pics to follow after the cleanup.Savage No4Mk1* with 1300 yd rear sight and 303 magazine. No bedding done to forestock. Bolt serial number mismatched to rifle but DCRA stamp is #782 on top of the handle. Up to 3. I'm loving it.

I don't recall hearing the RCMP or Cdn Rangers being issued actual DCRA No4's in 7.62mm but it could have been prior to the conversion.
