9.3 bullet test started. pics posted in #1

I believe this is a copyright violation. Dancing bananas are only allowed on .375 Ruger threads or at the very least, when making reference to the .375 Ruger. Expect a pm from Gatehouse. Also expect a pm from Johnn Peterson as references to the .375 Ruger are prohibited on 9.3 threads.:ban::nest:

what if you resize .375 bullets to .366 and use them to shoot a dancing banana ?

i fisnished some bullets last night ... from 9pm to 0035am ... i wont post it now but again some surprises and some fans wont be happy ...and some very good surprises of course ...

i added some weight and penetration for the ``few`` bullets i shot lol ...

there is some mystery i cant explain most of the RN where found while the pointed ones veered off or tumbled. i do not know if they need more speed or if i was too close but the first part was to found which bullet can handdle the stress of a close encounter. or maybe those ones are made for the 9.3x64 or 66 i do not know.

some hornady fans will not like me at all but the gmx didnt do better than the sp regular one ...

Rhino bullet did very well but the paint or coating was gone ... maybe in the barrel maybe in the first jug ....

barnes and swift a frame did what they meant for except the swift 300 grains but i ve heard in the past they were not made for the 9,3 but more a swagged bullet ...
nosler accubond and ballistic tip nothing i can say i did not recover them ...

one of the surprise was the speer 270 grains a 6th jug penetration and still 238.8 grains not that bad for a very classic bullet ...

maybe some of the exited ones will have done better but we do not know ...

enjoy.

i will post some pictures at anoter time. seems some like the tease ...

Wow the woodleigh 320 grain RN did really well. Hope the 300 grain .338 caliber rn performs the same, hope to test it out on elk this season.

Otto bock knew what he was doing ... sometimes you do not need to go fast to go deep ....the 9.3x62 with a good bullet is more than ever the Caliber ...

Not many bullets survive 12 yard test in plastic and water , all bullets react differently at different ranges and speeds!

while reading the wonderful book of Pierre van der walt on african dangerous game cartridges i found an interesting note and seems that the water as a medium test is doing to some conventionnal bullets a tendency to become unstable, lose direction etc .. worth to read the pages 74 to 77 for that matter, makes sense in the result of some bullets.

remember also that the game like us are made of water ...
