9.3 bullet test started. pics posted in #1

Yes, like the old argument that there is a greater selection of 7mm as opposed to 270 bullets. As though more than 70 choices of 270s, just counting those made in NA, is not enough.

Same goes for 358 and many others. Regardless of the caliber you use, there is more than enough, especially today.

But Ted after the discussion we had and the wonderful dinner: we ended up to say despite all those choices available one bullet is enough .... now finding the right is a tough decision ....

they called it in the past the TUG ... ancester of the partition ... made after the Hmantel. great sometimes (TUG) but didnt expand at all on the roe deer or small piglet. working very well on red deer and bigger wild boar. seems in the old days that was working on buffalo ... we have great other bullets those days ...

im dedicated on that test but im not buying that kind of bullet ....PRVi will end better ....

I haven't 'played' with my .366 Wagner all that much yet. Back on post #78, I made mention of acquiring a selection of bullets to test, basically for paper accuracy, one of the first of which was the PRVI 285gr SP. With the accuracy I got with them, I have yet to try any of the others. Have to get at that ;) one day soon.

Anyone ever seen these before? Can't make myself buy them at that price!

^ I have a few boxes squirrelled away... didn't pay that price for them though  Haven't killed anything with them yet. Seems to be an unlucky bullet for me. Any time I load them I never see anything. Velocity only runs about 2480 in spite of what the box says. The bullet is constructed sort of like a partition, with a partial belt in the middle to keep the base intact. The tip is designed for rapid expansion.

And since the thread has been btt, when does testing resume?

Back from africa. 250 gr aframe used to take a blue wildebeest and a zebra. 375 ruger @ 2840. Under 100 yards broadside. Weigh 244 and 247 grains

John is not a big fan of the .375 Ruger ;). Post you picture in this thread: https://www.canadiangunnutz.com/for...-Test-Results**(lots-of-pics!)?highlight=Test

And you'll be in good company.:dancingbanana:

The reason behind the comment in my previous post was primarily to keep the focus on the in depth and continued tests on the 9.3 bullets. It is getting closer to completion. Nothing against other similar tests being done in other calibres and in fact would welcome those results as well. Last but not least, I have nothing against the 375 you made mention of, other than the the 'royalty' comments and the cut and colour of the clothing of one self proclaimed promotional reps.
