AK magazine for SKS. or mod to accept AR15 mags.

Well if I'm so off base perhaps you would care to explain why a 30 round AR mag is bearly out of straight while a 30 round AK mag looks like a banana.

And go ahead and remove that pin to move it down a 1/2". Don't get caught doing it however.

Why wouldn't you simply get your hands on a 'D' model which takes AK mags.

Ya WOW is right. Not sure what to say other than that. In other news my 7.62x39 10 round XCR pistol stanag style mags work great! As do my 5/30 7.62x39 stanag style mags. Oh and not to mention my .50 Beowulf stanag style mags. No pins illegally moved here LOL!

I am not insane & I am telling you stripper clips are faster even with your 10rnd "advantage". BTW, who is taking a sks into a timed competition?

The reason us so-called "purists" are so against all these lovely "mods" is that so much has already been lost to the mighty gods of "hunting gun" & "tacticool", it is beyond measure. It boggles the mind that nobody ever notices that 98% of the time the rifle shoots worse! There is a finite supply & once its gone, it gone for good. Who remembers all the guys that messed around with all the mosin carbines three years ago? Not so "dime a dozen" now.

Just because You appreciate something, WH0 CARES, GET OVER IT! ...lol..geeessshe .... it's laughable really, there are PLENTY enough SKS's..of all bits n' bits in this Country that everyone could have ONE Original, & at least One to make it there own' version.. WHO CARES.... Ive never had one F2F on my originals or any one that I put in any after market crap, or what ever you like to call it, on it. That ole' argument is really Passe'. JUST buy as many as you can b4 the masses take(purchase) them all on you & Bubbba bubba bubbba them all up!!... Run fast...there are Plenty to gather, & save from their clutchezz!!!! ... ~@~@~

It doesn't irk me at all & I have already been proven right or can you cough up a No 4T for me? gew 98? In the end, the preserved rifles will be the only ones left & all the tacticool dudes will have to go back to their mini 14s or ar rifles IF they can still own them.
 
to me the Russians did it right with the sks and it was designed to be used the way it is it will be the most reliable in its as is condition just like the AK it was not made to have all this crap hanging off of it and it was made to be simple and work

the words you guys building the abominations speak are the same words said when lee enfield and mausers where being bubbaed
 
so glad I took my russian out of the crate, stripped it down, cleaned it, threw the wood stock in the garbage and mounted it in an aftermarket stock before I even put a round in the chamber! modded since round number one! :p

If Im wrong tell me , But if a gun is not matching numbers,they are not worth has much as a matching one. Just like cars. So if some guy new to the sport wants his 180 dollor refurb to look alittle more modren why not. At least we are geting more people in the sport.they are not breaking any laws and as long as they are safe lrt them be. I have limited use of my arems and no use of my hands do to a drunk driver. Does that mean I cant shoot a sks becues I cant bubba a non-collector. My step-son is 6foot 3 in. A sks is to short for him. The lee- enfields were bubbad because they were cheap when guys could not aford to buy a proper sporting gun. SO GUYS KEEP YOUR OPIONS TO YOUR SELF. Let the ones who want to answer to help some, let them. If you do not want read about dont. Or opean your own room that is lock to non-bubba freaks only.In the mean time let us stay together keep our guns and play safe.
 
CGN is prime comedy material at times.

I'll stay on neutral on the whole bubba issue. What I will say, however, is that thinking the SKS supply to be infinite is a mistake. That's just not how the world works. At some point the Garands, RC Mausers, Enfield, Nagant variants as well as others were all considered to "disposable", like the SKS is today.
