All-New: Type 81M

I actually think that the heavier weight coupled with the sight radius will make for a far more stable shooting platform. I think it will tighten up repeatable groupings. I always found that with my SA it wasn't consistent in keeping the same sight picture and hold over and over, and due to the shorter sight radius tiny changes in the hold caused drastic results.

I think it can also easily be lightened up with some effort, but I don't really mind. The aftermarket tends to work these things out.

I received my underfolder and it is bang on straight, very happy with it.

Also, I weighed it in comparison to an SA with an empty magazine in each rifle.

T81M Underfolder with empty magazine attached, slant comp and sling: 8.8 LBS
T81SA Fixed with empty magazine attached, and sling: 7.8 LBS

Seems to be accurate I think. There is for sure some weight difference in pointability compared to the SA as well as just an overall difference in components, just compare the sight blocks, barrel, handguards, etc it all adds up.

That’s .2 pounds heavier than the SL8 with ann empty magazine - I don’t find that heavy.

T81 mags are fairly rotund.

I’d say that weight is reasonable.

Order #2704X was shipped on March 20. Today, it is tracked in Regina, SK. I ordered on March 12 so, it took 8 days until shipping. I guess they are quite efficient.

269XX apparently the shipping label was created on the 18th. Got tracking and it's coming from Alberta? Thought they were from Mississauga?

Anyway, looks like Monday I'll have my order, if CP will be on time.

We have warehouse in AB and ON, these ship from AB warehouse :)

"continues to be a big and ongoing controversy." Well yeah when we are playing almost 1.5k for a rifle it should be straight... 0.6mm bent is 0.6mm to much.

Kindov like them saying that the SRs were tested extensively lol and the stocks had a very very small failure rate.

My order # is #279 so bit on the higher end, I just got the email that my order is PROCESSING from recieved lol.

I think they're just notifying people now, seeing as my Tracking number was generated 3 days ago. Yours is probably in the system as well.

I’ve gotten pickup notifications before I got shipped notifications from TI.

I’m very close to their warehouse tho.

Based on the order number people have posted, and when they received updates. TI can process approximately 45 orders per day. The turn around for orders in the 265XX-267XX range was approximately 4-6 days from ordering to shipping notice, assuming TI was working over the weekend, which appears to have been the case.

Based on this, we can assume that orders in the 27### range will begin shipping early next week. Either Sunday the 24th if they are working the weekend again, or Monday the 25th. Projecting out that means orders in the 28### range won't receive a shipping notice until April 12-19th.

Hope that helps some people plan out their range trip dates as they wait. Take it with a grain of salt because that's just based on what I could find and it makes a lot of assumptions.

With more data points I'm putting this at around 80 orders processed per day. People in the 270XX-273XX range have received shipping notices and should be receiving their rifles soon. That means that they should start shipping rifles in the 280XX range just before the end of March.
