Come on now........this has nothing to do with the clubs and Match Director's, volunteers etc. putting on matches around B.C. - in any part of the province!!!
I travel to a lot of matches around B.C. (North and South) - shooting IPSC and IDPA.
I have had every bit as much fun shooting on the Island, Kelowna, Burke, Thompson Mtn., Chilliwack, Lone Butte, P.G., Terrace or Pr. Rupert. I have shot club matches across the Province, Qualifiers, Provincial Championships and a Nationals.
I have never felt that the geography has anything to do with the fun factor of a match. For the most part shooters are shooters and they just want to do their best, challenge themselves and have fun. I know shooters across the province that I am always glad to see and have a great time competing with. In fact, the few times I have felt truly disrespected at a match have all been in my home turf - the Northern region. Sad but true

But these instances have been few and far between.
So for anyone to claim that you can only have fun shooting in a particular region is wrong! You get out of it exactly what you put into it. Anyone who has ever squadded with me know what I am talking about
What has happened to Rob feels very wrong to me. At first glance, and indeed after some reflection, there appears to be a definite lack of due process; possibly some conflict of interest on the BoD??? I don't know but it sure feels wrong.
What ever the case - all you guys saying 'this is why I don't shoot IPSC' or 'I will never try IPSC now' are missing the boat. Why would you let someone else stop you from doing something you want to do??? Why give them the power to affect your decision to that degree?? IPSC and IDPA are FUN!!! The negative incidents are rare and not worth worrying about
IPSC BC is made up of good, hardworking, funloving people who love to shoot

North or south, Kootenay or Cariboo....we all share that passion. So don't start pointing fingers at each other.
IMHO
