My newest toy; lock is made by AW Spies, a New York dealer @ 1850. Barrel is 1.25" accross the flats and is .34 caliber. The gun was broken completely through the lock area and I have put it together shot it today for the first time; seems to be accurate.

Here is my original S&W New Model #3 in .44 Russian. Not sure the date it was made, but one fellow on the S&W forum said the serial # indicated 1879 or 1880. With 9.5 grains of 2400, it sends a 256 grain (actual weight from a 245 grain Keith mould) cast Keith bullet out the barrel at 800 fps.
Although she's not an antique because of the caliber, she old enough to be one, so I'll post a pic or 2.
Model 1893 Marlin - serial # and lack of a third patent date points to an early 1893 manufacture date. Chambered in 38-55. The only thing "wrong" with her is somebody trimmed a bit off the S shaped butt and reshaped the plate.

Hi guys, here is my newly acquired antique revolver. It is a .450 caliber British tip-up
'' SPIRLET '' type action . It is in fine condition with excellent lock up, the blue is about 50% and is turning brown and there is absolutely no pitting. The grips has no crack, and only minor handling marks.
My Webley metro police showed up today and its EX its got a minty bore and has lots of orignal black finish left on her to, I was surprised how big it is. Its like a full sized revolver with a 2.5 inch barrel. The gun functions like new. This one is gona be fun to shoot
Click on pics to enlarge.
No its 450 so not from toronto if thats what you meen by TPF as they used some weird caliber so if there guns were grabed and used by crimnals they only had a few rds then the guns were useless cause they couldnt use normally found ammo in em.
Thats one idea!
The other is that or our goverment got a deal on em cause they were cheep they were 430 or something weird like that
This one could of been from the British police its not and Ausi one as alot were.
Im still doing reserch on it, The badge # makes me think england maby also it says on tops strap
P. WEBLEY & SON
LONDON & BIRMINGHAM so its gota be english coppers me thinks.
In any case im sure likeing it.
The TPF ones may have been .442. Just wondered, because I've seen the odd one in ON that were from Toronto. One had a commercially installed skull crusher ball on the butt.
