I'll chime in as I haven't seen it posted in the replies. I've had and friends have had the 10/22s and I find they leave you hanging often with a misfire or jamming etc.. but last year I switched to the Winchester Wildcat .22lr semi auto and I'm around 2000 rounds through it and it has been an absolutely fantastic semi auto option. I use it for plinking and small game hunting and it has been deadly accurate and 100% reliable. Of those 2000 rounds I have not had a single jam (mostly using wildcat magazines but I do have 2 regular 10/22 magazines I also use with it without issue) and the only misfires I've had were after cleaning and not reinstalling the spring pin correctly which was entirely my fault and a quick and easy fix while at the range. I would recommend the Wildcat as a semi auto option for sure.
