Bad Experience with Wolverine Supplies

If the advertised back pack was not the exact same as the one you ordered (you stated yourself that some fabric colours cost more) then I don't see a problem. How does the price compare to what other dealers are charging for the exact same problem? Online differs a bit from instore retail. If you walked up to the register with a product tagged at x price they should honour it, but if they are quoted the wrong price from the distrib then what can you do, it's not like they are best buy or some other giant company. Wolverine has always been good to me. Recently they sent me the wrong product (which happened to be worth way more than what I ordered) I contacted them and they made it right, and just cause I was honest and if I kept my mouth shut I would have made out like a bandit they rewarded me for it. They didn't have to do that.

I just had a bad experience with Wolvering Supplies.

I have been looking around for a new hunting back pack. I decided to buy the Eberlestock Gunrunner. So I started to dearch around for dealers and prices.

Wolverrine ended up having it for the best price I could find. So before placing my order I called them to discuss the availability of other colours because they only had coyote brown on their website.

So while speaking to them they had told me there were a couple of different prices depending on the availability of the other colours. They were going to call the manufacturer to verify the price and stock.

They then sent me a email with the availability of the different colours plus the price that would be the same as they already had listed on their website. In the meantime |I was telling my cousin about it and he wanted me to order him one too.

So I ordered 2 backpacks immediately after receiving the email from Wolverine Supplies.

The today I get a email with a quote with the backpacks at a higher price. So I called them to ask what was happening.

All they said id the manufacturer changed the price on them. This I do not belive. They had just called to verify everything.

Now they want me to pay a higher price than originally quoted. I asked them to stand by their original quote because they had just told me the price and they wouldnt.

In my opinion this is very poor customer service and a really bad way of doing buisness. If it was the manufacturer who had just quoted it to them I am sure they would of stood by what they said. The same should go for Wolverine.

I also just checked their website and now they have changed to price of the back pack online.

Brutal business and horrible customer service. Hopefully they don't do this to too many people.......

Please e mail me your name and who you were dealing with as I will be looking into this personally. Something does not sound correct. Mistakes do happen but we always attempt to resolve any issues amicably. We always ask customers to contact us first if they have an issue as usually we find these issues are due to poor, delayed or misunderstood communications.

Seems that some folks making a first time purchase expect to be treated as if they have been doing business for 25 years with the retailer, not saying this is the case here or not.

Again a new member comes on the forum to stir #### up before contacting the retailer and trying to rectify the situation.

The entitled attitude is strong with this one!

Sometimes things happen it is life, Wolverine didn't take your birthday away and I think that had you taken the proper steps to begin with it would have been rectified and everyone would have been satisfied.

Looks like Wolverine would have rectified the situation before you came here if you gave them the chance.

Also, what is with all these rants from people who join just to ##### and whine?

wolverine has always been good in my experience

It's whiny shiit like this that get's you put to the back of the line though. Firearms companies in Canada aren't run by executive's, most are run by joe blow gun, and joe blow gun is going to have 100 sales tomorrow whether you tell him to pound salt or not, so he doesn't care.

I'm not saying that's the way it should be, i'm saying that's the way it is. Suck it the fukc up and live with it, or take your business else where. but if your panties are in a naught about something so little as a price increase then I think you'll soon run out of places to take your business too.

We need a like button here you know similar to the BookFace .

I've recently had a couple of dealings with Wolverine that have been absolutely stellar after a minor hiccup on the second transaction.

1st - CZ858 sent to them for the B&T adapter and milling of the receiver. Rifle back well before quoted time frame.

2nd - Ordered 2 x boxes of .455. First box was GTG, however the second box had 24 empty casings and 26 unfired bullets. It wasn't until half a week after that I noticed this, quickly sent an email to them with a pic to explain the situation; response received the next day...week or so later I had a 50 new bullets on my doorstep.

Now, they very well could have hemmed and hawed that I was trying to pull a fast one on them, but they didn't. They took my word at face value and corrected a minor oversight.

Wolverine will definitely get my business in the future! A++

...and no, I'm not a shill!

Wow, I'm glad you're not my clients.
No kidding. So many people call the Waaambulance over dealer mistakes while buying online. Online buying is not homedepot or walmart. Sometimes these are tiny shops that do not have fancy inventory systems or extensive training of staff.

If I were wolverine I would be glad this customer will not come back.

Am I missing something here? I would expect to be treated this way if I bought a diet pepsi at walmart, let alone a gun store that may rely a lot on repeat customers and word of mouth.

No I didn't buy it. They are open to post a reply on here as well as I am able to post the thread. If they are willing to do buisness in this matter then they should expect people to share their experiences. I found out about them through this website so this is where I should post my experience. People have good experiences with companies too and post them too. Mine just happenes to be bad.

omg you didnt even buy it. You had a problem while window shopping??

Here is the genreral rule here about problems with stores. If there is a problem, you call and ask to speak to the owner. Explain your problem. Explaion what you would like them to do to solve the problem. Try to agree on a resolution and move on. If the owner, managment, and sales people are all jerks THEN POST your story. Guess what they almost always resolve the issues.

x2!!!!

You are also capable of giving them a call, and having a frank discussion on the issue one-on-one with John. Honestly, leaving your dirty laundry out to dry on a
CGN thread is hardly the best way to resolve your issue. Just sayin' -

I totally agree with the above statement. Here we have a person with a whole THREE posts complaining about something without even trying to go a bit further up the ladder to see if it could be resolved. To whine about something on the Internet without making more effort to resolve a problem is not really a way to go.

In my opinion, a Post of this nature is a poor one, and seems to be typical of a lot of the present attitude of "I did not get what I wanted, at the price I wanted, and right NOW, so I am going to Bad Mouth the person or business."

Instead of making a post where you are complaining about something, did you even try to phone Wolverine? And if you did phone, and were not satisfied with the answer, did you ask to speak with another sales person or the Manager or Owner? Obviously not, because if you had done that, I think this Post would not have been made.

I do not work for Wolverine, but I do live within 25 miles of them. I have found that John is very conscious of his reputation and customer service, and if a matter is brought to his attention, he will try to find a solution to it.

If the OP had taken the effort to go a bit further and still had a problem with the issue, (as described by him,) then I could possibly see the posting of such an experience, but to do so as he did it is a bit irresponsible and childish. .

Give Wolverine a phone call, ask to speak to John, tell him your problem or experience calmly and ACCURATELY, and resolve the issue.

A word of advice here to the OP --- If you have bad ### with a girl, DO NOT post something about it on the Internet.

LOL @ this thread. I do see where the OP is coming from.

I ordered from Wolverine Supplies upon recommendation from a friend. Ordered a shotgun. The employee told me it would take 8 weeks to arrive....no problem. The employee ordered the wrong gauge of shotgun. After a few emails back and forth, things seem to be back on track....but they weren't. Something happened to my order and I was told I would have to wait another few more weeks. No problem....I wasn't in a rush. 2 weeks go by and the employee calls me a tells me the shotgun arrived early and will be shipping out ASAP.

The shotgun arrives and they shipped me a totally wrong shotgun! LOL......Kinda laughed when it arrived, because the gun they shipped me was more expensive then the one I originally ordered! I probably should have just kept it and said nothing, but I returned the gun. I never did get the original gun I ordered.....but I did get a full re-fund, no questions asked! The lady I dealt with was extremely nice.............it just seems there ordering desk and warehouse are a bunch of Monkeys!

This right here
I have e-mailed and spoke with Ryan on the phone. Seems like a straight shooter if you give things a chance rather than internet complain.

My 0.02 cents
