We make our lowers (and uppers) in house from forgings.
For all intensive purposes the SR-25's available commercially are the same as the M110, the only difference in the lower is the engraving.
Now for Canada - its going to be agraved .308 instead of 7.62mm as DDTC will not let us export it to Canada marked 7.62mm (all SR-25's have a .308 Match Chamber not 7.62mm NATO) but they have been marked 7.62mm since their birth in 1989...
Sigh
Basically meaning the same rifle...
I'm saving up for an SR25 now....Dimpled barrel and all...
You and me both brother. $6k is pretty steep but the SR-25 bumped my purchase of a C14 one down the list.
I voted Knights Armament. It is proven and in service. But this is just pure armchairgeneralism on my part as I have not the opportunity to test them all.
So is Armalite.......by our boys and yet they get no love around here.
Guess they haven't been doing enough fan boy marketing.![]()
so is the LMT....![]()
if i had to supply troops (with budget in mind), I would go with the LMT knowing that 40% more rifleman could be put into the field for the same price and with very similiar results...
scratch that....identical results...
...assuming of course the retail pricing of each is reflective of what the government pays...
....says the guy who obviously does not have an SR-25....
as a DMR, the LMT will do everything the KAC does for 40% less.
grape or cherry?
which kool-aid do you like best?
well I own both and can say they are not created equal. I'll take both grape and cherry....
I voted LMT MWS but that was before I saw the new SR25s are cheaper and feature more options (20" + flash hider, yum). Not to mention who wants a scratched, rusty barrel on their expensive toy...
That doesn't reflect LMT but more on Questar shoulders.
