I find kevin's (OP's) conduct in the past more reprehensible than NEA's as I described in a post above.

Not that I agree with what NEA has done, but I have a long memory. Longer even than some.Who would have guessed, the Apocalypse and AR15's together.NEA and KAC jockeying? I think that's one of the signs of the apocalypse.
A friend of mine purchased an NEA that I test fired yesterday. The Trigger group is so out of whack that it will consistently fire bursts of 2-5 rounds with one trigger pull.
That can happen with soft bench rest primers. I have also seen it happen if the safety sear spring is missing.
Maybe contact NEA directly. I am sure they would be happy to fix it for you. But then again if you insist on slagging them off publically they will tell you to go pound sand?
So I just found out about the NEA Shilling today.
I was in Texas near Laredo for the last week hunting with folks. Most where gun Industry. Chris and Amanda Barrett, Ronnie Barrett's kids for those who did not know. Also one of the owners of CMMG and his girlfriend (who shot a big rattler and won the snake competition). 'Dr' Drake Clarke from Magpul, Marty and his crew from Badger Ordnance, Kel from GemTech, and a bunch of others - About 60 folks in all.
We had a great time, everyone was cool with each other.
At the time I though damn, we have a great industry, we compete, but it's fair open and honest.
I work for KAC, I'm pretty clear about it, and every website has my contact info in the sig line.
The idea that a company would make a shill
Account speaks volumes to me about their integrity, and their product.
I generally do not take shots at folks in Industry, but NEA's actions sicken me.
As soon as you cross the line on integrity it's a slippery slope, next stop is where?
Do your homework as a gun buying public, and vote with your wallets
I personally think problems should be made public. This way if everyone reports their problems we all know the scale of a given problem. At the same time, when NEA makes it right that should also be made public. It goes both ways.
I don't buy NEA.
I wasn't interested when they first started the "teaser" vids, and I'm much less interested now.
I also don't recommend them to anyone. When People ask about an AR I suggest Norinco (If they're on a budget) or I start throwing out american made if they have a higher budget or no budget at all.
I'm glad we are both happy with our ARs but to make a blanket statement that "NEA is junk" makes you sound like someone trying too hard to justify the price you paid for you LMT.
But I presume lots of pros were running LMTs in the first couple of months they were putting rifles out the door?LMT's justify themselves! Doesn't change the fact that NEA has been letting garbage out the door. No one who is a serious shooter (professional or otherwise) would consider an NEA AR15. PERIOD.
There is not even a single tool mark on this thing and Upper and Lower are tight like a tiger!!!
Considering NEA's public admission is only what, 1 or two days old, it's hardly been "dragging on". When you fess up to something (and kudos to them for doing the right thing) you're going to have to expect comments on the situation and not always positive ones at that, and rightly so.
