The KAC micro are miles away from the Magpul, they are much smaller and all steel to begin with. And you can dial the rear sight from 0 to 600m in a twist of the "barrel". If you plan on using the iron the KAC are the best there is, if you won't use them unless your optic goes down tho the MBUS are fine. I like having the option to take the guessing out if I want to shoot up to 600m. With the Aimpoint in a cowitness is I just turn it off, flip up and dial the iron and be very close to where I am aiming.

That's DD MK18 RIS rail and a DD 10.3" 300BLK barrel.
Do you shoot at Silverdale? I ran into a shooter there earlier this summer who was shooting one of those in an SBR and holy fireball! Pretty loud as well but I like loud and I like fire... win win.

I've been slowly perusing the provide link a few pages back on the Mk 18 (only on pg 58 of 2/300) and there's a fair bit of Mod 0 and Mod 1s' obviously.
Some of the "In the Wild" builds using a 10.5" bbls have caught my attention though. The problem i'm having is getting or finding a rail system thats as close to the end of a 10.5" bbl utilizing a KX3 without overlapping it. So far i've come up with The 10" Centurions from OSTS which should leave .5" room and have the KX3 pretty snug/close to the end of the Rail.

The RIS rail is just shy of 10" (9.55") so the 10.3" barrel is just a little proud of the end of the rail. The Lite rail is 10" (or any other 10" rail) and would probably be the look you're after.
LOL, might have been you I ran into then at the action range. I really liked that deep bass BOOM BOOM BOOM from that brake. I know some folks might be annoyed by the noise and fireball but it sure was cool. Made my Griffin Armament M4DSII brake sound squeaky. lol

Can't wait to see it, bud...gonna start putting one together myself. Biggest debate I'm having with myself right now is whether to go all black, or with the FDE break-up. I love the RIS II rail, so that's definitely going to be on the list, but black or FDE? I almost wish that DD only made it in one colour...

Parts are slowly starting to showing up. My Mk 18 Mod1"In the Wild" Clone/Look-a-like/Wanna-be should be complete soon finally.
I can't compete with you guys, fantastic builds that show a lot of talent. This thread has inspired me for sure more than almost any other. Here is my DD Mk18, not a true MK18 but as close as a poor guy can get.
I played around with different colour configurations, whether to have black or FDE, just not sure. Putting on black furniture as we speak. So easy to swap things out, it's kinda fun. It's a great setup for me. Thanks for looking.

Upgrades to my previous 300BLK MK18. Picked up a RIS II rail, went with FDE furniture and got rid of the PWS Triad brake for a Griffin Armament M4SDII and Try Battlesights.
My DD M4V5 lower with a new DD upper with 10" Lite rail, NEA 10.5" barrel, DD Chrome BCG, Bushnell 1-4x Throwdown PCL, AD cantilever scope mount, MI SPLP iron sights, Griffin Armament M4SDII brake. I originally had FDE rail covers and forgot I only changed three of them for a pic of the other side didn't realize I still had an FDE on this side. Already took the pic so I said frak it.
Just the uppers.

Those GA brakes...both are M4SD II. By the looks of it, one is longer than the other. Is there a length option for the Tac Comp, cause all I saw was the shorter one being available...???
