why not a M4A1 clone than? if you're going 14.5" it makes more sense no? the price difference between the DD MK18RISII and M4A1RISII is negligible.

They're labours of love. I build to shoot, not to collect dust, so all my rifles are set up how they best work for me. As I change as a shooter, those needs change, that's why I'm building this rifle.

I love this ####.

Yeah the KAC are these kind of things you never go for anything else once you tried them... Awesome.
I think I'm missing a SOPMOD stock and a light, not sure what light I should use yet but I want one I could switch between my MK18 and MK25 on the fly, keeping the "clone" a clone as much as possible.

The B5 Bravo stock might be an okay compromise or spend the extra 150$ and get an LMT one.
 
kennyclone, love the Elcan. Sold two pistols for one. How do you like it? Is that an airsoft PEQ? Or did you buy the one off the EE that was probably stolen military hardware? haha

You could run an M3
 
Who's the distributor for EO Tech - they should be able to get them - it's the same company. I bought mine in Florida, and asked the Customs guys about it on the way back, they said it was considered a flashlight, and not subject to any restrictions.
 
I think the problem is on the US export side: anything with a NSN # requires export licenses or something like that
 
I already contacted Wolverine Supplies about the M3X weapon light and pressure switch for my build. It is ITAR restricted and they will not be able to bring them into Canada. The EOTech EOLAD was ITAR restricted a few years back too and now they're carrying that so maybe in a few years we'll be able to get the M3X in Canada.

There is a black one with a pressure switch in the EE right now if anyone is interested... I'd buy it but i'm waiting until i come across a tan one.

I managed to grab one on the EE, not LED and with rocker switch tho... but that works for me as It moves from the MK18 to the MK25 on a whim :D

that dual switch is worth the deal tho, very rare especially in black, someone grab it before I do...Wifey wouldn't get why I bought the same light twice in a week
