Crusader Arms Crypto

People are shooting 60-200 rounds and calling it good to go…

I’ve taken my X95 out and fired 700 rounds in one day…it usually fires 200+ rounds/trip.

Magazines are already failing…

Without a proper working magazine, your gun is a ####ty club

Last few months of 2024 and Canada still struggles to manufacture guns to 1960s quality :/
Your ammunition consumption may be exceptional. How many folks can afford to expend 200-700 rounds of centerfire rifle ammunition every time out?
Concerns about the magazine may be justified. The magazine is a key component in any autoloading firearm design. To comply with existing law, a proprietary magazine was required. Is it the equal of the mature STANAG magazine? Personally, I think the double ended magazine is designed to appeal to the gunshop commando, and does little to contribute to magazine effectiveness. An unnecessary complication.

If the Gov't doesn't move against the Crypto concept, I expect other manufacturers might take the plunge. Competition can be a good thing. Given the proclivity of the current Gov't to prohibit, I suspect manufacturers need to recover their costs early in the production cycle.
I'm in this boat too, once the rifle has been de-risked through an FRT classification others will likely follow suit, hopefully with better materials, tolerances, QC, and customer service.

A published FRT # is a public announcement of the classification. Classification is not dependent on a FRT number - it is just an announcement.
My point is there are plenty of previous NR with an FRT that are not NR anymore. I see no reason to wait for one. Buy the gun enjoy it as long as you can.

I said it de-risked the purchase of a new firearm, which is accurate.
It won’t de-risk the rifle at all. Like I said before the government can come in and ban whatever they want whenever they want. Just enjoy it while you can. Hopefully if they prohibited it they would let us owners keep it and use it until we’re dead haha. It is a very nice rifle. Magazines are the one let down but just stock up on those

Having an FRT in hand before taking customers money would by definition de-risk. Not eliminate the risk, but reduce it. Ask yourself why they chose not to.

You guys still have any faith in the RCMP and FRT after what happened to ATRS and numerous others? FRT is meaningless.
There are too many people in the gun community who think that the tyrannical Liberals will stop their targeted bullying when gun owners say "please" or ask permission.

How can anyone still trust the Libs? It's beyond me.

To each their own...

A FRT is not meaningless. It reflects the current opinion of the RCMP lab. While this can be changed in the future due to political moves, it gives a certain comfort level. You can very well take the ATRS and have a look at it, it does not fit the current RCMP opinion of a NR rifle - I know this is a sensitive topic, so bashers are welcome. Before the ATRS, rifles like the VZ58 should have never been on that list (if non converted from full auto). Or a Mini 14/30 which are in fact typical hunting rifles. But it is what it is.

Plus, a second round will not happen if the first round is still pending - actual confiscation.

Not really. They illegally altered documents and changed the FRT without making an announcement. There's no comfort in knowing your current NR can become prohibited on a whim without you knowing.

The ATRS is not the only one, so get over it.

They banned the CZ858 of certain numbers, then made it NR again, then banned it again. Many more people affected by this.

I never owned an ATRS, almost bought one in 2019, then thought "this is a bit too good to be true" - not lying or making stuff up here, I know a guy who just bought one and handled it, I loved it but as I said. I was rather thinking of restricted and NR, not getting banned - I don't like restricted rifles.

Try to follow my thought process as laid out above.
I can follow your thought process, but I will never understand it. - It doesn't make sense; attempting to anticipate the next move of a corrupt gov.

For Example: If the current tyrannical government thinks banning your DeWalt nail gun will get them more votes, from the sheltered, low information, Toronto voters, high atop in their secured condo buildings. - that is EXACTLY what they'll do.

The only way to win the game, that they keep changing the rules in, is not to play.

I know I wont convince some people of this, but I'm trying to get my opinion across.

I respect your opinion, but it doesn't make sense for me.

Then again I'm in a Rural community that may as well be on the dark side of the moon, for all the people who care about Trudeaus arbitrary overreach.
