Crusader Arms Crypto

For those looking for a receiver set…there seems to be 3 at an online shop Winnipeg….xtremegun———- (won’t put the whole name in, but easy to find)

Great cope gun for the mean time but let’s not settle on this where things are. It’s obvious that the libs will keep the bans going, it’s in their DNA. Must vote conservative, write conservative MP’s about the importance of reversing the bans and get everything brought in over the last decade scrapped. Never give up the fight.

Can anyone explain why every Canadian store sells AR-15 10.5-inch barrels if you aren't allowed to have less than 18.5-inch barrel?

You can only the gun would either need to be registered restricted once completed (granted there are any left to put into this class) OR in the case of a manual action rifle meet the 26" OAL requirement. You have options with a 10.5" barrel only they're very slim now.

This sux, I almost ordered 10.5-inch barrel for my new Crypto.

These laws make no sense. What is the point of making it illegal so we can't train with short barrels, while a criminal can just buy and use them freely?

Well you could do it but I looked into this a lot yesterday and went with the entire current NR rifle to avoid a ton of hassle.
A restricted rifle now is akin to a prohibited rifle tomorrow, nothing is safe but restricted is the first to go.

These laws make no sense.
Welcome new guy. The laws only make no sense if you assume they are supposed to improve public safety, as claimed. They make much more sense when you understand the goal is to make owning guns as difficult as possible and end up with a completely disarmed populace.

To illustrate this, a number of quotes from past Liberal politicians:

"C-68 has little to do with gun control or crime control, but it is the first step necessary to begin the social re-engineering of Canada. "— Liberal senator Sharon Carstairs, 1996.

"Canada will be one of the first unarmed countries in the world."— Liberal foreign affairs minister Lloyd Axworthy, 1998.

"Disarming the Canadian public is part of the new humanitarian social agenda." — Liberal foreign affairs minister Lloyd Axworthy at a gun control conference, Oslo, Norway, 1998.

"I came to Ottawa... with the firm belief that the only people who should have guns are police officers and soldiers." - Liberal Justice Minister Alan Rock, 1994

Why bother at this point. It will get banned as well.
So you will have one before they get banned. 🤷‍♂️

When Blackface began the handgun ban, there was a months long orgy of people buying guns, while knowing they were about to be banned. We, as defiant gun owners, refuse to be cowed by idiotic laws. We don't try to offload guns onto other parties (like gun stores) to save ourselves.

For the same reason that pinned large capacity magazines are much more desirable than magazines designed only to hold the legal number of rounds. Think about it for a bit and the answer will come to you.

i communicated with Crusader about the legality of their rifle;

they said it remains legal because it follows c21

They also said the new rules about requiring an frt to sell in canada set to come out this week is new legislation that will takes months to come into effect.

Therefore in their opinion the rifle should at the very least remain legal up until a second OIC or a new FRT decision
