My friend just recieved his and we went to try it out yesterday. Full Crusader prebuild.
It couldnt fire more than 2 rounds without failing to feed, stovepipes, and failing to go into battery.
A forward assist would've been nice, as the thing did not go into battery all the way most of the time, which was resulting in a click and no bang. Frustrating first impressions.
I was not impressed personally and the bolt felt gritty to actuate IMO.
Serious question: Would an Aero Precision BCG help remedy this issue? Are the Crusader bolts just cooked?
Anyways guy was depressed the while day trying to run it. Probably went though a good 200rnds trying to diagnose and break it in. Mind you, any gun that needs to be "broken in", using an AR15 bolt at that, is kind of a joke.
CA's track record hasn't been very promising with the Templar and Crux. I was skeptical of the Crypto to begin with.
I wasn't a fan of the mags. But thats not what this platform is for, anyways. If you catch my drift.
