A "blank canvas" is preferable. I would rather buy things I do want separately than have to pay extra for things I don't want.

I more meaning more in the way of offering a better starting point than the 858 out of the box than accessories, something like barrel linings for example are a pain to add after the fact.

I like that idea too but i really would like to still see the irons sights like on the original 858. If its possible see if you can make a groove right through thr middle of the dustcover rail so the irons would still be usuable.
