CZ Scorpion Evo Thread - Pictures, Videos, Reviews, Range Reports, Accessories, etc.

Picked up one on the clearance sale on at Western Metal for $1099! Fluked into the deal so I couldn't resist. Now I just got to wait for it to show up......

Wow, I got ripped off in comparison!!

Brake came with the gun - part of the "922 compliance package" that included the stock. Again, it appears I paid too much!!

FY to the I,
I just bought ten 32rd smoked Manticore mags from A Z T E C H A R M O R Y for $43 a pop to my door.... And CobraGT can you post a pic of the brake please :)

I picked up 5 as well (thanks again for the line).
They emailed me last night saying they should be around the end of the month, but that my Pakse grip for the Evo won't be available until the February 5th export, but offered free shipping on anything I order before dec 28th. I'm beginning to like these guys.

I see HBI is offering a "short" AK style safety now. Might be more practical than a rh safety delete. Depends on whether or not I can reach the LH selector with my thumb without changing my grip position. I hate not having the gun here yet and speculating on upgrades lol.

Is the OEM grip that bad on it that it warrants replacing: HBI lists the PASKE grip as allowing disassembly without the need to remove the grip but the yetiworks grip offers no such details.?

In my opinion, it's the only flaw with the rifle. That grip angle is so raked that I find I'm breaking a normal grip just to shoot it. The only shooting position I've found that doesn't add some undue stress to the wrist is the old "classic gangster tommy gun" way of shooting. And no I haven't actually shot it like that.

As for the safety, I find I'm one of the few people who don't find the right side safety to be a pain. I've read numerous accounts that a steeper grip actually reduces that irritation so ill be holding out for that.

Hey, just wondering what you guys are zeroing your Scorpion SBR's to ? I'm going to sight mine in at 25 yrds and see how that works.

I was thinking about the short AK safety as well - lots of people seem to like it. Went with the delete in the end, though.

I have no issues with the Gen 2.5 Yeti grip - no need to remove the grip to remove the lower, even if the grip is all the way forward. They fixed it.

I'm curious where people are getting their aftermarket triggers from? (and other accessories too).

Just ordered a FDE one, gonna try replace the grip asap and maybe the trigger and stock at some point.

I've also installed the HB Industries trigger spring kit into my Scorpion. Inexpensive, easy to install, and makes a big difference on the range. Highly recommended.

Just a "watch out for" guys. I've had my Scorpion to the range twice and each time afterwards I noticed that the case securing screw (p/n 48 in your Scorpion manual) was loose. I tried blue Loctite after the HB Industries trigger spring install, but the screw still came loose. Might be something you want to keep an eye on.

I actually just had this happen to me too while reassembling my scorpion.
